Yeah, if Brady has only done "pretty well", McShay obviously has some very high standards. He probably thinks Usain Bolt is "kinda fast."

I catch your sarcasm, and I agree with it. Seems the more I hear from McShay the less I am impressed. He desperately is trying to make his stupid comments from before seem to have validity by saying what he said and then mentioning only some of the plethora of positives that Watson brings with him. Tom Brady "done pretty well" is about a summation of his ability to rate talent. Glad he doesn't recruit for us.

Todd Mcshay is trying to reel things back in now that he sees who Deshaun is. Now he is trying to maintain somewhat of a neutral ground so that he doesn't end up getting tagged as a hater. He does this with most prospects that he is very critical of early on. QBs will always be the most criticized of all positions. You don't hear them picking apart a DE's every snap and play. It is what it is. It comes with the territory of that position. It has historically the most busts because it is the most talked about position. The bust at other positions are more in number (I.E. RB, WR, CB) but those position don't get the hype. Therefore, the fall from grace seems farther. If you look at any player's tape entirely you will find discrepancies. The QB has become so important in the NFL that teams poke holes in every QB so that they can justify a bust. IF I am a GM, I would fear drafting a QB. Not because of the specific QB, but because it is critical to the team's success. To get back to Mcshay, this guy has very little credibility outside of ESPN, and why should that be any different? He has no experience in the NFL or front office. I wish they would just call him an insider like Adam because that is what he is. Most teams use these guys to downplay a prospect that they really want in some cases as well. Therefore, you can never take these guys seriously and I hate that people even discuss them.

Why is McShay in love with Stafford? How many playoff games has he won with Detroit? Big arm + crap team = no playoff victories. If he is the leader and so great, why hasn't he turned around the lions? Put Deshaun in a situation where he won't get killed in year one (anywhere but Cleveland) and the sky is the limit.

I think he is a jerk who fancies himself as an expert. He obviously has taken a dislike to Deshaun for some unknown reason and it shows in any remarks he makes about this fine quarterback. Personally, I wouldn't let him in the door..........good thing I am not in charge.
