My son-in-law gave me a real fancy printer for Christmas. He came up the other day and installed it plus gave me a demonstration on what it can do, And what it can do is above my pay grade. The only thing it can't do is write and edit my stories. I have a friend in the printing business and he said he would help me get my book finished if I would get on the ball.
This is going to be a monumental task because I have several versions of the same story and now I have to choose between these versions. Stories in my files are not in chronological order so that's another task. I have found some of my orders from both wars and some photos. My bedroom, which serves as my office, is filled with boxes of stories and it looks like a garbage dump. I'm still trying to decide on a title.
I have no idea how many copies I will need but most will be given away and if I can recover the cost of printing, I plan to donate anything above that to the Korean War "Wall of Remembrance".
In the meantime, if there is a hot topic on the board, I may jump in with an unsolicited opinion that has nothing to do with the topic. Also, if you have some extra commas, I may need to borrow some.

Don't expect anything soon. This is a long process. The biggest problem is my procrastination and procrastination is my only claim to fame. When it gets to the point where we can predict a publication date, I will forewarn you.

Joe,
I suspect by the end of the day, you’ll have high double digit demand for such a product within this thread alone and that’s just among some of us who’ve been fortunate enough to read some of your posts.
Small sample size I know, but I think you underestimate the demand.
I hope this serves as a bit more motivation to get going!

Joe, have enough copies, with commas, printed so I can reserve a copy. Wish I could get enough ambition to put some of my Clemson and Army "war" stories on paper. Can't use the excuse that I don't have enough time. I spent seven months of last year in either the VA hospital or the rehab center. Good luck with the project.

In term of getting it typed up that should be easy. Many of your threads on tnet are stories so you can probably just go to you tnet profile, sort by created threads, and click into each one and copy and paste I to MS word.
I actually did this already with a few stories I sent to my dad months back.
