New BCM Director for Clemson

Jun 5, 2014, 6:04 PM

For those of you who are interested, Peter Hyatt, a good friend of mine and long-time BCM Director for the Charleston, SC chapter,(made up of Charleston Southern University, The Citadel, and College of Charleston), recently accepted the open BCM Director position at Clemson. Peter, his wife Tanya, and their children have been serving the Charleston area faithfully for about 9 years now, and it will be bittersweet to see them leave that community in the Lowcountry, for the hills of upstate SC. I was in college from 2007-11 at The Citadel and the BCM ministry there in Charleston was instrumental in my spiritual walk with Christ, helping me grow and mature in my faith, and equipping me to evangelize and share my faith with others. Interestingly enough, my college years in Charleston are where I met my beautiful wife at a BCM retreat in Garden City, SC which was actually led by Peter's BCM ministry. Peter was huge reason why I decided to go into the ministry and to study for my M.Div for counseling and young adult discipleship. I am forever indebted to his friendship, guidance, and incredible leadership. Please join me in giving a warm Tiger welcome to Peter Hyatt and his family as they transition into the new BCM Director role at Clemson; and if you can, give him a friendly hello, high five, word of encouragement, or whatever else you wish to express to let them know how grateful we are to have them as members of the Clemson family. Tell him Kris and Emily Blanchard say hello from up here in Wake Forest, NC- where I'm in my last year of my seminary studies about to completely my Master's at Southeastern Seminary.

We've got a great one for years to come guys! GO TIGERS!!!!

...wouldn't surprise me. It's sad that the majority of their public spotlight comes from exploiting and feeding on the constitutional rights of people to express themselves freely. Their existence as an organization is pathetic..

Sounds good. My daughter is very active in BCM at Clemson and hope the new guy continues what has been established there. I have been impressed with their approach on campus and the encouragement they gave her to participate in an international summer mission trip last year. It's been a very positive experience.
