How many coaches are former players or relatives of current staff?
If "Best is the Standard", you go get the best of the best and its highly unlikely ALL of these are really the best.
Every facet of our game is pretty bad and every area of coaching is littered with former players and family members.

Look at all the friends and family people throughout the football building. Wives, kids, and friends. You will be amazed at the connections and salaries.

Let’s list them to see how many people are related to HC.
Next, let’s list the ones who are friends.
As far as coaches HC has coached or has known from other connections through coaching, that is common on every staff.

Lots of incest within the program. Too many former players and friends.

Best is the standard was retconned by Dabo 2-3 seasons ago when we were struggling and someone asked about if it was still the slogan, he said something along the lines of “trying your best” not having to be the absolute best. So cringey

Doing your best was always what it meant, genius.
It played for a lot of national championships, and won 2. What have you done?

Maybe Clemson Athletics needs a DOGE revue to clean out the excess nepotism ??

It is incredible how many "created" positions there are on that list.

It is worse than that. He put all 3 of his sons on a football scholarship which prevented 3 other REAL athletes who probably could not even afford to go to college from receiving the scholarships. Dabo’s sons would have never even been looked at by any other colleges to play anywhere much less given a football scholarship to play college football. Come on he makes $30,500 a day every day of the year so I think he could at least pay for their tuition. That really upsets me that he did this not one time but three times. Definitely morally wrong and seems almost criminal!
