Other than Dabo? For me, I’m happy with our current head ball coach. Will be surprised in anyone can make a coach that they genuinely rather have than Dabo.

Brent Venables. He and Oklahoma were not a good fit and he inherited a very bad situation left to him by Garrett Riley's brother.

BV would be a great HC COACH AT CLEMSON.

JYT - you’d take him over Dabo right now??? I’m a BV fan too but wouldn’t give up a two time national championship Coach, 10+ conference championship for a head coach who has not yet proven he can do that.

Dabo has 2 titles because of Venables and the assistants he had. How can a you defend what he is putting on field now ? I have been told
About all this talent we have so that’s even worse on Dabo. If he has this talent we keep hearing about then it must be coaching dude . Dabo is currently not even one of the best coaches in the ACC . All he did was with Venables , Scott , and the assistants he had. Since they left we haven’t looked like a well coached team once .

If I could make a hypothetical bet as to who would do better, I would pick Dan Lanning but
1) He hasn't proven that he could perform to what was once "Best is the Standard," even with resources.
2) He is not going to leave the money at Oregon to come to Clemson.

Everybody that I saw mentioned are at programs with a lot more resources. Maybe they could do better, but none are a given, and none are leaving their current programs.

Year in year out he puts an extremely competitive team on the field. His resources are limited and he doesn’t get a lot of 4/5 star recruits. Does a good job of developing lesser known players and using the portal to fill in the gaps.
Players play hard for him and the culture of his program seems strong.

Kirby Smart hasn't won anything of note after Stetson left, loses major games in the playoffs, and their roster is totally out of control off the field leaving their own brothers and staffers for dead on the side of the road. (they had their hands full with an FCS school yesterday) He's basically Dabo with a culture problem but a couple years later. Todd Monken was their Venables taking a good team to great.

Ryan Day constantly loses to their biggest rival even when favored by a ton, was given a national title ready roster and it took an expanded playoff for them to even get in last year. Most years they should've been left out. Credit to them, they are the reigning champs, but Ohio State's only had 4 seasons in the last 25 years where they didn't win 10+ games and have far more money than we do is Day the kind of coach who could elevate a program?

Lanning hasn't won anything and despite having more money than anyone got absolutely beat down in the rose bowl, 1-3 against Washington their biggest rival.

Lol Smart is just Dabo a couple years later with a terrible culture. players getting killed and left on the side of the road by their teammates. They've stumbled since Todd Monken left. He's their version of Venables, taking a good team to great.

They struggled with Austin Peay.

current HC at major university Div 1 who is 35 yr old been coaching since 17 yrs old
has mentored under Mike Norvell, Gus Malzahn, and Dan Lanning as their OC and QB Coach,
He was named Top recruiter of the year, named Co-Recepient 2024 young new HC of year,
Has taken struggling programs and produced winners, but the main thing this guy is young,
has outstanding offensive skills, and bottom line He is Hungry.....hungry to establish
winning CFB at the top of the mountain. His name Kenny Dillingham current HC of Arizona

The interesting thing about it to me is that it is easy to see what Venables, Reed, Morris, Brooks, and others have brought to the staff from a game day coaching standpoint. Tough to know exactly what Swinney has brought in that regard.

Obviously he has been great at establishing a culture, and pre-NIL he was a great recruiter.

Not happy with dabo and his constant rear view mirror proclomations to explain away our current yearly regression into mediocrity. He is NOT earning his bloated salary and it should be restructured to include a bonus for results attained. Coaches I would rather have is largely irrelevant. And, btw, it is no fans responsibility to select coaches we give money cheer and or complain. Besides with dabos current contract nothing is going to change unless dabo changes. Neff is too spineless to tell King dabo to use the portal and remove the useless eaters from the roster. Sorry to say it but cfb has changed in a BIG WAY and dabo still thinks we are only 1 play away.

BY THE WAY can someone please remind me which play it was that cost us the LSU game because I remember it as LSU taking a knee after driving the ball down our collective throats to go ahead. Nevermind the home town discount we got on the LSU TD being overturned.

Clemson fans are waking up to the reality that Dabo has become a talker and not a doer.

And a few other things that irritate me why is Dabo using our best offensive player as a kick returner? With 105 scholarships maybe he can go find that kid that is too small to play at Clemson but has returned 10 kickoffs for TDs. Maybe he can actually try and use st as a weapon and not a liability. And I am talking punt and kickoff returns and punt block schemes.

All is not right in Tigertown my friend, and in summation, it is not a matter of if Dabo will no longer be the HC at Clemson it is just a matter of when. He is starting to remind me of a cross between Ray Goff Bobby Bowden and Tommy Bowden.
