My last few thoughts on the game:

Jun 3, 2012, 7:23 AM

-Home plate umpire sucked, even for both sides, zero consistency.
-Those genius fans cheer for everything.
-Felder's HR still hasn't landed.
-Game was a battle, we have sucked this season, zero consistency, but Jack has not forgotten how to coach.
-I hate Jack Leggett's small ball but the guy is a winner, we'll be fine.
-I'm sure some of you idiots will bash my post and go on and on about how much Leggett should be fired, and that's fine. I'll be here laughing with the intelligent bunch that isn't satisfied about our performance, but have the common sense to know you don't have the mindset that you fire a coach after every loss.

I won't bash your post but here are my last few thoughts on the game:
Blaming the umpire is an excuse for poor losers(even if you say it was the same for both sides).
Whose genius fans are you talking about?
Alan Shepard once hit a golf ball on the moon.Wondering if it ever landed.Doesn't really matter, though ,does it?
Game was a battle.We lost.
Jack is a winner.Ray is the coach of the 2 time defending CWS Championship Gamecocks. And small ball is fine if it works. It aint working!
No,I'm not into firing Jack after every loss but something I heard yesterday(by the announcers on the "U" makes me wonder if Jack sees this rivalry for what it is.When Ray was hired by their A.D(I believe his name was Mike Price) he made certain that Ray knew how important this rivarly was.Maybe it's time that our A.D.( I believe his name is Terry Don Phillips) needs to remind Jack just how important this rivalry is cause right now Jack is getting outcoached by Ray.

A few things

Jun 3, 2012, 8:06 AM

First off, I didn't blame the umpire, I made it a point to say that he sucked, had horrible calls for both sides.

Those genius fans I was referring to are the Coots. They cheered for every pitch of the entire game.

Yes we did lose.

Fact is, Jack hasn't had back to back mediocre seasons warranting a firing yet. He's been here 20 years, I myself, don't mind the guy but I would like to see some new blood take over at some point in the near future. I'm sure Jack knows how important the rivalry is, knowing how important the rivalry is has zero effect on the outcome of the game. We lost, plain and simple, and have lost to those dirtpeckers a lot lately. Something has to change, I'm not sure what it is, but something has to be done so we can get back at these Coots.

True, you didn't blame the umpire, but I allways end up reading between the lines.
Thought it was the coot fans, but not certain.Watching the game made me wonder if they knew a game was being played.
No argument about losing from me.
Not saying Jack should be fired either, but something ain't right in Tiger Town.Maybe it's recruiting,a pitching decision,a change in the line up;I do not know. All I know is this year (and that's the only one that matters to me) has not been a good one.In fact early preseason polls had us being right where we are;with only an outside looking in chance of making Omaha.
Oh,and it's not only about the coots.Had we played better conference ball, maybe we would be hosting a regional.

We have the talent to be a good team

Jun 3, 2012, 9:38 AM

but the inconsistency forces all that talent to be considered an average team, not a "good" team.

Yesterdays game is probably the best baseball game I have ever watched. I am proud of our team and our coach, both played their hearts out.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It was a classic

Jun 3, 2012, 8:07 AM

but the best I have ever watched was the CWS game against Nebraska a decade ago when we came back and won. Just my opinion, but I loved it.

So now it is a negative thing for a team's fanbase to cheer for their team?

I've heard it all now!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It is odd

Jun 3, 2012, 12:07 PM

when the clapping continued even when you struck out.
