If they announce it would they be liable for his buy out? If so, that would be a lot of reasons they wouldn't announce it.

Florida State is expected to reschedule their canceled game against ULM for December 2.
This game was not expected to be played, so some are concluding it will only happen in the hopes of the 3-5 Seminoles becoming bowl eligible. The game was originally set for September 9.

In this case I believe Jimbo is leaving and the school will want the buyout.

Those buyouts are typically low though and A&M will foot the bill. The buyout on the coaches side is always much, much lower than on the school side.
