A second observation without bias

After calming down and looking at the two plays again, I see the difference as... 1. Hood had CU player right with him as he ran down court to the basket. This allowed for consistent potential of sustained contact. Also Hood could initiate or bait more contact. That made it easier for Referees to expect to see contact.
2. Rod picked up a Duke defender late as he drove to basket so it looked more like he ran towards 2 defenders and did look a little out of control. He did have contact that was directed at him but at same time he looked like he did not or was not going to have full control of the ball. I think that alllowed refs to think Rod is out of control and lost control before the reach in and foul occurred. This made it easier for Refs to keep whistle in pocket.
I do not like it, but I think they had to call foul on Hood play vs they could have called foul on Rod's drive. The had to will always get called vs the could have.
I do think Clemson players and coaches know best about the calls the entire game. From my spot on my couch, it looked like a few critical possessions were not called for Clemson though some (1 or 2) were. I think we saw where end of 1st half blunders and breakdowns by Clemson, plus some key FT misses, really determined the outcome. And those things were things Clemson could have controlled.
Would love to have had this win and the win at home vs Pitt. But I also think the losses to Arkansas, Auburn, UMass and Wake really hurt Clemson's NCAA chances.
Great regular season Tigers. Play smart and go far in NIT. Use it like the Italy trip... hope KJ can get some rest. I bet he has surgery in off season.
I hope he comes back for Senior Year. I will be there for his and Rod's Senior Day.

No. They haven't it.
How about you?
Pathetic is also the incessant failure to look inward and accept responsibility, and to always look for the world/ACC is against me excuses.
Man up.

Or you can.
go back and tell me Rod Hall looked like he was in control and had full control of the ball when we went to make contact.
If it was Duke... if it was UNC.. who gives a SH$t.
Never rely on the refs. Rule #1.

what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...

Smart talk, fella.
Give me your take and use small words so you can follow along.
Also, I wrote it, so you did not hear it unless you hear voices in your head or you hear your mouth and lips moving as you read.
Rational thought? Please explain and show me where your reason and logic, not your emotion, rule the day and your perspective.
Sorry you are dumb and dumber.
I want no points.
Your hyperbole is refreshing.

nice retort. Good to see a true Clemson man show his strong Christian values.
I am a Clemson grad and fan.
Watch the game again and tell me Rod looks totally in control.
i for one hated the call and the one that was not called. but i am not going to think the world is against Clemson.
But again opinions acn be different much like yours.
