Qualk made a good point today

In the players don’t even care about possible NFL stock anymore, long as they see the big bag in college. Prime example they used Moore the DE from UTSA that transferred to Texas shows the mind set. This kid had 14 sacks last year as a feature player, and 8 sacks the year b4 so 22 sacks in 2 years. This year he has 10 tackles on the year as a rotation piece for Texas. Is it just me or would that not hurt your draft stock riding the pine?!? Just a good convo piece. Go Tigers!!

Maybe. You could argue that youve already made your mark

and platooning at a bigger school with less playing time is saving miles on the body. If you aren’t a top draft pick and going to get that giant signing bonus, it might be a good move.

Respectfully agree to disagree on this one. I think it shows that when the competition is stepped up to another level that he just simply isn't talented enough or putting in the extra work to be great and stay at that high level. He isn't going up against teams like Texas State, Rice, UAB, & East Carolina anymore. Hes going up against the big boys this year not unranked & 2 star OT's anymore. Hes going up against 4/5 star OT's. He's now starting (Vs FLA at least hoping for him he starts again next week) I'm sure he got "the bag" for going to Texas but I think his production is going to hurt him big time. "The Bag" is great and all but the NFL is 10x bigger bag especially if you can get to that second & third contract. That's millions and millions, "the bag" in CFB is maybe what topped at a million-3M IF and big IF your a big time prospect (5 star HS prospect) I don't think its the same if you come from a smaller school. I would be surprised if its anything above 250k. I don't know much about these NIL deals but it only seems to be the QB's getting the million + deals. He was projected as a late 1st rd-early 2nd rd pick before the season started now hes projected now 3rd rd -5th rd. If he keeps going the way hes done so far this season. I could see him staying at Texas but hes going to have to start buying in and doing the extra work it takes to make it or even be drafted at the next level.

Go Tigers!

College Football is an existential threat to the NFL, they just have not realized it yet. The Bills are never going to be able to provide dorms full of teenage girls to their players. All they have is money, and that has salary caps to contend with.
