He travels from yard to yard in the neighborhood. The lady across the street wanted me to 'take care of it'. I finally convinced her that it was harmless to us. But, to the mice and other snakes, he is harmful. She liked that.

The camo is awesome in the zoomed in pic.
I still can't find the back end of the snake!

Except for the Spud-like neck bending qualities.

Why didn't you hold it with your hand like Spud did?
Seems like harmless corn snake, right?

How does that line go? You know the thing... “red on black, stay the heck back”? Or is it “black on yellow will kill a fellow”?

Egg Zachary why I stay the hail out of the woods during ‘snake season’ unless I’m wearing boots and snake chaps (....and NO Francis, not the a$$le$$ chaps I used to wear to Tiger Town Tavern on weekends).
Freakin’ NC mountains are full of copperheads.... sigh.

Biggest snake I ever saw outside a cage was a timber rattler

near Kings Mountain. Its head was as big as your hand and seven feet long. I've seen two king snakes seven feet long, but this was three times their width. Only snake that ever really bothered me. Especially when it turned around and came after me when I poked it with a limb to get it "move along." I decided to just leave it alone at that point.

Prairie rattler to add a little flavor to the snake conversation. Ran up on this guy last weekend on a gravel road here in the panhandle of Tx.
