Maybe I’m just wearing my orange glasses, but

Ngata and the other receivers looked more like WRU last night. They didn’t drop as many balls as in the other games ( even counting the 50/50 balls). The ball must be spinning a little differently coming out of Kade’s hands. Thoughts?

They expect the ball to be catchable and on time. It’s a different mentality. From effort to separation to wondering if your playing WR or CB on this throw.
Ngata did make a great adjustment on that one ball thrown to his back hip.

I was just gonna post the same thing about Ngata not even looking like the same WR last night. It’s baffling to think of the collateral damage that this failed experiment has probably caused with player development

I still believe we are in need of some elite receivers. But the ball just wasn’t spinning into the ground or over their heads like the DJ throws. Cade played like we all thought he would if given the opportunity.

I expected a quick change after DJU’s first throw in the turf.

The big difference is there was separation on most of the routes. Nobody ever accused Carolina of having a great defense but we executed.

Game the WR’s didn’t all of a sudden change their route running. DJ missed opportunity after opportunity all year by staring at one WR every play. Their were guys open all year that most never saw and also he was so late on plays he missed Many windows

Two things can be true at the same time.
1. Our receivers aren't as bad as they've looked, but they aren't what we are used to either.
2. DJs lack of a spiral and arm strength, along with throwing it at awkward/bad spots makes it harder for them to catch it, resulting in more drops.
It's sorta a self fulfilling prophecy in a way. It's amazing how much one player effects everything.

Amazing what happens when you don't throw the ball at their feet, 10 feet over their head or behind them, eh?

Not your orange glasses. There was a spark that perpetuated throughout the entire team last night.

It's like some of you guys posting here never played an a down offensive football..LOL. WR's need Rhythm. DJ very rarely plays with it. He's like a drummer who can't keep a beat. Put some amateur behind the drums and the Stones or Foo Fighters sound like crap. That is DJ in a nutshell.
