I remember the promised great year after the sweet 16 year

people were saying we were even better than that sweet 16 team. Certain WCCP radio hosts were even starting to whisper about darkhorse final four team.
We then had a very disappointing year in which we crashed out in the NIT first round at home to Wright State.
It was really that season where I soured on Brownell because I was hopeful that the sweet 16 year would build into something more and was buying the idea that he had a new upward trajectory with the program. But it crashed down that season.

The pressure was off Brownell then. His MO is to perform best when his back is against the wall.

Could you link three posts with this promise? I ask as I missed the "many" posts with this promise and would like to see evidence.

Anybody that bashes brownell for transfers out of the program is a clueless bozo.
Transfers are a part of basketball. Brad brownell has proven each year that he has improved the team with transfers. That is undoubtedly true.

The general feeling seems to be that we will be no better and no worse than we were this year.

Not I. I think we will be good next year. We have the best big man we have had in 20 years. We will also be the most depth with the bigs thatwe have had in years.
Next year hinges on the development of our guards. If 2 of honor/Dawes/hunter can be consistent 12-14 point scorers I think we are in for a great year by Clemson's standards. And that would be a run in the acc or ncaa tourney. If we don't do that, I say fire brownell.

I like Chase Hunter and his athleticism. Hopefully, he can

become more consistent next year. Honor and Dawes will be the same.
It's hard to say we'll be better without knowing what transfers he brings in to replace the play of Collins and Bohannon and their defense and 16 pts per game. My guess from our experience is that the transfers are at best a wash.

Then a poor basketball season is the least of your problems.

I fear we will have our better players transferring out. I think I probably would.

I can guarantee they will have at least one or two transfer that you don't expect. But as mountains said maybe a way for Brad to get better transfers in. Brad just needs to make sure all 13 spots are filled. Don't need one open to give to a walk on like a Parker Fox.

First , let’s define who you “expect” to transfer. Name them. Then by process of elimination, we have the “unexpected “ list. And if 1-2 off of the unexpected list don’t transfer…what is your guarantee? A guarantee means you will “pay off” if you’re wrong.

Wondering about your resume to determine if we should believe you have any clue as to how the roster should be managed. Do you have a linkedin profile we can review?

Who has transferred?? I think BB did a great job coaching this year. Especially with a short bench and injures. No matter how well BB does in a season there are always those who will find some fault with Coach BB. But They never give him well deserved props when he earns them!

Lynn Kidd, O-Max, John Newman, and Clyde Trap transferred. We were not able to fill the last scholarship on the roster and gave it to a walk-on that didn't play. We also redshirted a guy. The short bench is on Brad.
Brad doesn't get props for fighting through the mess he puts himself in.
