I don't post much, but after reading the posts from last night game, feel the need to add my two cents. I've played and coached football although many years ago. I think our defense for the most part played well. We had a few breakdowns, but LSU is a good offensive team. Holding them to 17 should have been a win. As to the LSU touchdown that wasn't, the call was correct. Same thing just happened in the Coots game. Our offense was nothing to write home about. When playing an aggressive defense, misdirection can get yards and quell aggressiveness. If we tried doing that, I missed it. When Cade rolls right, the left should be open, but we didn't try that. Also the drag route across the middle is a great play, we tried early, Cade was off with his throw, and I don't recall coming back to it. Last, the quick throws to the side was a great play for LSU, and they ran it repeatedly until we stopped it. I never saw that consistency from us. I guess, like many of you, I am frustrated with our play considering the talent we have. Hopefully we can get it together and have a successful season. Love my tigers no matter what.

If I see "the defense played well" one more time I'm going to lose my mind.

NO PRESSURE FROM OUR D LINE

MULTIPLE MISSED TACKLES

DBs GETTING DOG WALKED

UNDISCIPLINED ON MISDIRECTION PLAYS

LSU was literally picking on our defense by running the same screen play 3 times in a row. Why you ask? Bc they knew we couldn't stop it

THE DEFENSE WAS NOT AS BAD THE OFFENSE BUT THEY WERE WELL BELOW AVERAGE

I thought we would pressure Nussmier more or knock him down so he would feel uncomfortable, but saw them making plays on the outside. The called the same play 3 times in row with the 3 wide outs/ screen pass and the tiger D couldn’t stop it. I hope these tune up games coming up will help get something going to prepare us for GT and other games of the season. Overall, defense wasn’t bad but blew a few plays. As for offense, Riley needs to go. He can’t win the big games and he’s been here long enough that he has been able to recruit talent that fits his scheme.
