Loose partnership with the PAC12 is

Jul 6, 2022, 8:06 AM

The worst idea I've heard yet. It may earn a few extra bucks, but recruiting against the SEC and BIG would be a disaster and path to playoff could be too. I really wish ND would join in full and take West Virginia and take our chances up against the Power 2, but this combination with a PAC12 just sucks. Notre Dame also is not joining ACC. I know that and therefore it is time to leave if given an invite.

If the "loose" Pac12 merger happens, then that alone should be grounds to get out of the GOR. It would be a completely different scenario than what the GOR was signed for. Don't know what the answer is, but this is not it. I know realignment was beyond Phillips' control, but very little confidence in him after he voted down playoff expansion and then the complete farce of the alliance. That will go down in history as one of the biggest "what the hells" ever.

I had rather partner with the Big 12. Playing Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, Okie State and WVU in football and teams like Kansas in basketball would be way more exciting.

I agree. Would rather play the Texas teams and they are closer and opens recruiting up more in that area. But if need be I would rather play Colorado, Utah, Arizona State as opposed to being left out. Might be hard to get into the BIG10 without being AUU( or what ever it is called) and I do not think the SEC is really that interested in Clemson. They would rather have NC and another FL school.

Thats the ACC find the bottom feeders bring them in . What a waste surely this will not happen. The Tigers need to step out and let the league sink into the Pacific
