Looking at next year.

Jun 6, 2017, 9:01 AM

How good is the incoming recruiting class? Specifically, any top pitchers or hitters?

Search "Perfect Game commits" and you can search recruiting classes by school and year. Gives you full bios on them. This year's class looks VERY strong. Few big bats and alot of power arms.

Thanks a lot. I've never heard of them.***

He's got some studs lined up. The strider kid from Tennessee has been up to 96-97. We need those kinds of arms back in our arsenal!

He will probably get scooped up and sign with a pro team though. He gets up to 96 but he sits at like 91-92. Either way, a good arm to have if he gets to campus.

What kind of damage will the MLB Draft do to our recruiting class?***

Sam Keating and Spencer Strider are both top 200 prospects for the draft, both with good fastballs that sit around 92 and get up to the mid 90s. Both will probably be taken before the 6th round depending on whether or not teams feel like they can sign them. Also Kier Meredith is a pretty solid outfielder, but he might not get drafted high enough to skip out on coming to school.
