That's okay even without BV USC still won't beat Clemson for another decade or so. As long as Dabo is wearing Clemson orange and purple Gamecocks can't win. Only way USC could beat Clemson is if played in Sugar Bowl. Sugar Bowl never liked Clemson and always will be cause they beat SEC teams.

I'm in the Clemson area fairly often and I have been to Norman, Oklahoma a couple of times and I think Venables is bat #### crazy. Why would anyone want to live in Norman, Oklahoma? Money? He could have landed another job if he had wanted it.
Dabo is the secret to Clemson's success, not Venables and Beamer won't be beaming long after his next butt kicking. Spencer Rattler isn't going to help him much.

Been there a whole lot lately for a family matter, many times before that. To be completely honest, it's a nice area. You could do a whole lot worse than Norman. Tornados suck, i.e. Moore OK, but it's nice. No problem at all with area.

You have to admit that it's a far distant to a Clemson or a Greenville. Come on, man. OKC isn't too bad, the downtown is pretty nice and the traffic isn't that bad. But, tornadoes are always going to hit that area.

I'm a Texan and a hard core Longhorn fan as well as a Clemson fan and to me Spencer Rattler is as ugly a QB as I have ever seen. Nothing personal, but he's hard to look at. He's vastly overrated, too, even though the media was wanting to hand him the Heisman in September of last season. When he got benched, they wanted to give the Heisman to his replacement and now both are gone.
I liked Venables at Clemson, but I can't wish him well at OU.

I like Beamer! I hope Scar is 0-11 when we play this year and we beat them 64-0, but I think Beamer is great... if you're in to having a "head cheerleader" as your football coach... I thought Scar fans thought that was a stupid idea 10 years ago.

Caddie I respect you, I respect your opinions most of the time here on T-Net but, I keep hearing folks say that our defense will be just as good with Wes Goodwin being our DC. Honestly, I hope that our defense don't skip a step, or miss a beat, but the facts are, none of us know what our defense will look like, or play like under Wes Goodwin's leadership.
I'm hoping that our D will be a lot like what BV done with it over the years that he run the show, but it will be really hard for Wes Goodwin to spark our D when they get down like BV with his insane energy that he had and used to get his guys to move on to the next play as if nothing negative had happen a few plays before. Brent Venables has a way about himself to make his guys run through a brick wall for him when the game is on the line with the D needing to make a stop and did, we seen that out of BV's defenses the entire 10 years that he was the DC at Clemson.
Defensive Coordinators, and Offensive Coordinators across the country has loads of film of what BV's defenses do, and other DC's couldn't repeat it, and OC's couldn't stop it. And it's bc they don't have inside of them what BV has to get his guys to make it work, and Wes don't have what BV has inside of himself to get everything out of his players that they had to give, and then some. You have to have that Brent Venables factor in you, and there hasn't been many that could do it the same as BV does it, and that's a fact!!!! Like I've said, and it's the truth, there is loads of film out there that shows what BV does, and there has only been maybe a couple of OC's that could scheme around it, and some of it was bc one of BV's players was just out matched!!!

I think it will actually be better than last year because of one main thing. Cade at QB on field Clemson will go back to offense winning games. BV and Wes Defense saved them in over half of games last year plus gave Clemson over UGA until DJ UGA MVP through pick 6.

I actually hope BV finished 6-6 each SEC year. I didn't mind him leaving for OU since Dabo stole him from there but classless how did he did it state totally shocked me. Should have done it after season was over. What the other Coaches did changing school before bowl games normal cause didn't have BV type class. But even BV in the end lost his BV class. BV and DS time to man up Bowden Bowls over loved them time for new midseason bowl. OU TX Red River Classic. CU OU need the Mississippi River Classic at neutral site both school would set attendance records in Cotton Bowl when OU home team and at Bristol Raceway when CU home team.

I love your enthusiasm. However, I learned from a Nobel laureate. Doesn’t make me one. Wes has to prove he can do it. ISU in cheezit bowl was like the boss was out on a sick day. ISU moved the ball. Scored well and almost beat us. I’m reserving judgement three years in. How does he recruit? How does he handle pressure? Is he unpredictable? No one can answer those questions. Yet.
