Littlejohn mask policy

First let me be clear. I am neither pro or anti mask. I wear them never unless required, but always when required.
I went to the BC game Saturday night, and masks are "mandatory" at LJ. So I dutifully wore my mask buzzer to buzzer. That said, the mask "policy" is a joke. There were maybe as many not wearing masks once the game as there were wearing masks. They constantly panned the student sections, which were 80% mask free. Heck, once they even trained the camera on President and Mrs. Clements, and she had to hastily put hers on once she realized she was on camera.
Why even have the policy, if you're not going to enforce it? Much easier to drop the requirement than enforce people to observe it. Just MHO.

I’m not a mask nazi, but didn’t see one time someone insist those not wearing a mask put it on. They wouldn’t let you in without it but two steps in the door people were putting them away.

It's impossible to enforce; we'd have to hire dozens of people to constantly walk up and down the stands and then hope a conflict doesn't take place if someone is asked to comply. I work for an extremely large retail company that operates in all 50 states and requires masks for customer and employees (big companies are always gonna follow CDC guidelines just accept it). We've made the decision not to attempt to enforce the rule out of concern for the safety of our employees; if any % of our customers respect the rules then we're better off having it. We live in a world where people have lost their ever loving minds about masks and literally murdered people because of it. The mask requirements rely on people to feel convicted to follow the rules; unfortunately everyone in thus country now knows everything so it's destined to fail.

and I have not missed a home basketball game in the last two seasons, the mask mandate is selectively enforced depending upon the public safety/security person in your section. They won't say a word to the people sitting in the Coliseum Club area.

I observed same thing. Lady scanning my ticket reminded me to put on my mask. Then she added once you’re in, I don’t care what you do.

They can't enforce it. Same thing as football in the fall....there was an article about Williams Brice. Columbia had the mask mandate, to be enforced by the fire marshals. There were 2-3 marshals and 80,000 fans. The marshals admitted publicly they could not enforce it.
It's ridiculous and unnecessary. And we're on 2 years of this crap.

Agreed, seems dumb
My wife is an RN and a hospital administrator. She said there's no scientific reason for the general public to wear them.
It's just for show.

People should wear them if it makes them feel more comfortable. Fine. But no one should be forced to wear it.

Real simple. Stop the game. We did it a 65000 seat stadium in September and no problems. The real problem is the lack of character of Clemson fans. That is so sad. I have 2 Clemson degress

Is it because people think breathing is healthier than wearing a mask that has no proven benefits?

I got it a few weeks ago and it is NO JOKE.
It’s aggressive and it’s painful even when vaccinated. I’ve got 5 employees out of 12 right now that have it or are getting over it.

... effective.
A majority of Americans have been vaccinated.
It’s effective against severe symptoms of Covid although it certainly hasn’t lived to the initial, hype.
However masks have been a complete farce from the beginning.
Just a visual way for one group of people to identify and persecute those who disagree with them.
Masks should be a choice ... pure and simple.

wake up and smell the roses. Mask don't work. I know several doctors who treat COVID patients and have been told they don't work. Look at NY City. over 30K cases a day with mandates the works.
They don't work. A virus will do what it wants to.

Agree. People want to pretend that throwing some rag on your face that you probably keep in your glove compartment or floorboard, or who knows where, is the same thing as following a strict sterile protocol inside a bio level 4 lab.
It's theater and I'm done with all the make-believe.

Having said that, I travel a lot and live in Colombia and Peru. Nowhere is wearing a mask an even debate except for in the USA.
Things are a mess in the US in my opinion. People are divided as ever, the two-party system has simply stale-mated itself.
No one is winning except for guess-who?

Seriously, if you start having symptoms, buckle in and go heavy on the Tylenol. Water, rest and more rest. Took me about 10 days to feel “normal.”
