Gotta believe something changes in the heart of the order. And does Gafney get an opportunity? Really gets tough after the top 3 guys

4. Jarrell

As much as I would perfer that line up. I doubt anything changes today. We should have all ready switched around the line up by now. So I don’t see that happening today. Tho I still REALLY hope that he at least moves Paino down the line up soon.

Cam is best in the leadoff spot and Ciufo is great at setting the table for the top of the lineup. He’s been the #9 guy for most of his time here. Other than those two anything is possible, but I don’t really expect too much of a shakeup.

That’s a fun question and I’m glad we get to solve it on the internet instead of in the dugout.
It’s hard to say honestly. Cam and Listi feel like the most consistent. 6 of the others can get streaky at times so they could arguably bat anywhere in the lineup between 3-9. Priest is simply not seeing the ball and he hits the curve ball like Pedro Cerrano. Maybe bat Gaffney in place of Priest?

Does Clemson not have anyone else that can play 3rd base? Panio is a strike out machine and a liability at 3rd base.

Not anyone who has had more than a handful of at-bats.
Gaffney cross trained at 3rd in the fall but hasn’t played there all year, so we don’t want him there. Castellani is someone they’re high on but he has like 5 ABs this year, and Jay Dillard probably isn’t much of an improvement and he’s only had 20ish ABs himself. McCladdie would be a natural fit if he were healthy.

Yeah McCladdie could if he wasn't hurt, Gaffney is an option, the only other one is the Fr Castellani, but he's had next to no PT this year. Paino is mainly there for his defense, much like Cuifo has been. Tho Paino has been struggling on both sides lately

Didn't Crighton play 3rd last year some? He might can move over and have Gaffney at 1st. I like Gaffney more than Paino right now, at least Luke puts the ball in play. Paino seems to be pressing right now, I think a move down the lineup or out of it altogether to get his mind right could help.

Paino has made some spectacular plays at third all season. His hitting is streaky at best, but that’s true for the whole lineup. Think about Listi. He didn’t even start swinging until about 3 weeks ago

But, I would separate Priest and Paino.
I don’t like seeing two (seemingly) automatic outs back-to-back.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping if anything, I don't see either being out of the lineup completely. I think the only decision might be adding Gaffney back for added power. See what happens

I kinda wish we hadn’t given up on gaffney. He’s a great player when he’s playing to his potential. Now I feel like he will transfer in the offseason
