Lets be honest with each other..

As a fanbase , we’re all going thru the stages of grief together. A lot of us here have expressed how we just don’t really care anymore and with all the rule changes and NIL it’s just ruined college football. To some degree that’s true, but if we’re being honest with each other , it’s because we’re not winning anymore and have somehow completely dropped out of relevance. Trust me, the fans at places like Vanderbilt, Missouri, and Virginia , Ga Tech and Indiana don’t have such a dismissive attitude about the current situation. They’ve got coaches and administrators that get it and they are thriving.

Yeah, you’re right. But we have absolutely no hope of changing any of that. So why even care anymore?

Sure, enjoy the great seasons. But if a bad year brings your grief, you need to reevaluate how much emphasis you put on a kids game.

Sports help people escape from other stresses at times.. Well, when good. They are playing a men's game and every game is almost do or die deciding the season.

Dude shut up. I’m so tired of seeing people say stuff like this.
If you don’t care that much then that’s cool but stop trying to put others down that do.
Nobody is saying it’s ruined their life bc we’re losing but my goodness some people do care and care ALOT.
You’re just an average fan… ok cool but some of us were raised in this game and we care.
Don’t confuse passion and caring with “if a kids game gives you grief blah blah blah.
If this isn’t your biggest passion… that’s totally cool but for others myself included… it is my biggest passion and since it’s my life I have a right to care as much or as little as I want.
“It’s just a game”… BS… tell that to the people that have literally dedicated their lives to this game.

This is fair. I can handle losing but being absolutely incompetent and worthless has been hard for me to accept. It’s closer to malfeasance than anything else. Larceny. We’re not just losing big games we can’t beat sub 500 teams at home. Man what a long year.

Clemson fans are not at a permanent ‘don’t care’ sentimentality.
For 2025, there is some truth in what you say, in that the post season for us … at best … is a lower tier bowl game. However, I am of the belief that the large majority of Clemson fans remain deeply interested in the overall state of our FB program.
We remain passionate (and of divided opinion) about whether to (1) stay the course with whatever Dabo says is best for the program -or- (2) make major changes ASAP before the ‘good will’ that our previous tremendous success fades into the mist.
Clemson really cannot afford to get rid of Dabo within the next two or three years; I have little concerns that some other program will offer Dabo a magnificent long term deal to leave Clemson. (If Dabo’s contract with us has a buyout clause if Dabo is the one who breaks Clemson’s contract, then I’d bet that Clemson admin would work out a suitable ‘negotiated downward’ buyout to be owed to Clemson.’
The fundamental passion among us fans for Clemson FB remains strong. If Dabo can pull off a 10+ win season in 2026, then most naysayers will probably summon up some more patience with the Dabo regime. That same inherent passion, though, will lead most fans to call for Dabo’s head if he strings together another 6-6 or 5-7 season in 2026.
(Yes, I am predicting a 6-6 or 5-7 season this year.)
(*). If Dabo is still here after the end of 2026 (in which another 6-6 or 5-7 season is likely), then Clemson fans (including the patient ones) will have reached a point of inflection. More Dabo in 2027 will mark the beginning of mass apathy.

We're going 4-8, possibly 3-9 as Furman isn't a given anymore.

Furman is a lock. It will be interesting to see if we can win 2 more games though.

that this was my final season as a season ticket holder - for the reasons you mentioned. I may have posted about it then - don’t remember…
