How good we had it. Hope our baseball dark times aren’t as long as their football dark times. Sigh.

They won't be. This team is going to win some games. Omaha? No. But we are good enough to be a 2 or 3 in the tournament. Pitching has to settle in at some point, and I think it will but we are not going to have a super bullpen this year. This staff will need a couple years to get everything up to speed. Anyone who watched last years games knows we are a better baseball team overall this year. We will be fine but I think we all need to be realistic about expectations this year. This was never going to be a one year turn around.

No, they are not back. Look at their schedule. We beat them one game and gave them another and we are not elite by any means. Before us, they played absolutely no one. They have bad days coming too. We need pitching and hitting. We have pitching commits but need some hitters.

We only lost the series by 5 runs. They are a step up from where we are but did not feel they were anything special.

Interesting that in baseball, expectations were high, and we fired a HOF legend of a coach when we did not meet expectations over a few years, and then fired Lee when he failed to meet expectations. Expectations are key.
Totally agree that Bakich deserves a few years to right the ship. This year is absolutely a transitional year, and any real success, especially post season, would be an unexpected bonus.

Leggett had his time, and was one of the greats, but he is a curse now on this team! Get his #### out of the dugout influencing our new coach!,

Leggett was dismissed because the program slipped in his final years. We were average then arr still average so no difference. The only oddity is why the university let him back in the dugout

Leggett ran into a 2 time college World Series championship teams being in the same state. Tough comparison.
Hate he could not win it all but appreciate the guy and he definitely loves Clemson. I love the fact that he he back in the dug out. Lot of experience on the bench can do nothing but help.
He could have said #### on Clemson but have seen him around and do not believe he ever moved.

If using that analogy, I really hope Brownell isn't our Fulmer! That would be sad for our bball team.
