To the bottles being thrown, he said” they do it at Clemson too!” I told him “ that’s bull$hit! I’ve never seen that at Clemson.” He got mad and walked off talking to himself. You know there’s a different level of satisfaction, knowing that not only did we dominate them, but let them know how far away from being are equal they are. That’s a warm feeling .

throwing stuff on the field after we got (some really bad) penalties called against us. That's all the evidence they have. Still nothing compared to throwing objects AT opposing players.

Bad calls is one thing, throwing at opposing players and coaches is a sign of classlessness. Which we all know they are. Now the rest of the country does. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember seeing the students throwing stuff from the hill in that game, but from what I recall the players were still down the field. The throwing was after a 2nd or 3rd critical PI penality against Clemson in the 2nd half which kept South Carolina drives alive. The throwing wasn't in an attempt to hit anyone, but was stuff thrown into the endzone in frustration over the calls. That doesn't make it right to do, but it's a lot different from throwing things at people.

If clemson did that I ,a former student, grad and IPTAY donor, would NOT condone or justify the action. In fact I would be seaking some sort of disciplinary Action. If that happens next year, I hope the SEC refs hit the clemson bench with an unsportsmanlike like.

anyone, though. They were just throwing stuff on the field in protest of the referees IIRC. Only happened for a couple minutes and was over.
Fans should never throw stuff on the field but there’s also intent to consider. Throwing things at players is always unacceptable. Throwing things into an empty endzone is a bit different, IMO.

2016 - Pitt game.
2012 - USuC game.
Both events, bottles were thrown after bad calls. You're correct though, neither were to the extent of what we saw in Columbia last Saturday night and that doesn't make it right. It was embarrassing.

We saw security respond and escort some people out. Also during Home games security people are in front of and behind student sections. They also have people stationed in ailes with radios. When unapproved behavior is identified, they move in and escort the offenders out. I’ve watched it a few times over the last couple of years. Seems to help prevent issues like this too.

I still find it gratifying your fanbase was shown on National tv doing all of this.The SEC homer station of ESPN even got in on majorly criticizing your dump of a student section.Heck Dabo even tried to help your coot fanbase by explaining he knows it was just a few bad ones and the majority of the coot fans are good people.He's a bigger man than y'all give him credit for.
