All he has to do is stay competitive, win 8 or 9 games a year and they will put up a statue of him when he retires.
Any of these other schools and if not in the national title hunt every year they gonna be ready to fire him in 3 or 4 year.

Still think you can win bigger more consistemntly at a UF or LSU. Dont see Lane hanging in Oxford for next 10-15 years...maybe Im wrong.

The SEC is incestuous when it comes to coaches. They love to pass them around. Lane could go to his 3rd SEC school.

If Lane and his ex wife are getting back together, he is either staying in Oxford or taking the Florida job. Probably taking the Florida job and they live happily ever after with their kid then playing at Florida like her Dad did.

They are already back together and the entire family now lives in Oxford and his daughter is at ole Miss. he’s not leaving.

I don't understand why people think this connection is so important. He is not making a career decision because his wife's (who he was divorced from) dad played 40 years ago for UF, while his own children have zero connection with Gainesville.

Not sure they can afford Kiffin. LSU is currently still paying Ed O and now Brian Kelly. If they go after Kiffin then they will have to buyout his contract plus pag him, plus pay the last 2 coaches. That's a lot of millions

Kiffin made the statement that his life had totally changed for the better since he moved to Oxford and Ole Miss. He said that as it turned out, he needed Ole Miss more than Ole Miss needed him.

I think the UF fans are living in a fantasy world. It's not the blue-blood they seem to think they are. Yes, they are a top 20 program, but not a top-tier/top 10. LSU might be a little more attractive.
I think Kiffin knows there are bigger programs out there than Ole Miss, but he took the job as part of his "recovery". During the process maybe his tremendous success has changed how he views his career path. Does he really need to be at a bigger school? Remember, this is a guy who has been an NFL head coach, HC at Tennessee and USC, and worked with Saban at Alabama. Florida is not a bigger program than any of those (maybe equal to UT).
I think he's learned a lot of lessons in his career, and I'm not sure he will be easily lured by shiny objects like a typical UF hire does.
