Gasoline in my GMC Acadia after dropping another bill for half a cart of groceries. 200 bucks for a trip to Walmart and back. Something has to give!

I at least have $1 off each time I fill up and I’ve gotten it as high as $2.45 off once. Very easy to work that system with the “buy 2 drinks get 15 cents off” thing with cokes and body armor drinks. Having 3 kids playing baseball and softball we get at least 6 of those body armors and I add a couple of coke products each time as well. I don’t mind paying $4 for 2 sprites if it knocks off what amounts to $9 off each fill up for every 2 drinks I buy. Especially when it’s going to be consumed anyway.

I say we have a million man, I mean a 10 million man or woman march to DC and let our voices be heard that we want to be energy independent and I am talking about oil and gasoline. I am now spending $800+ a month for two vehicles in gas and both my vehicles get 20+ miles per gallon. We are all going to be out of money soon and we won’t have any left to go buy the electric car that “some crazies” are trying to force us to buy. Ok I feel better now, thanks for listening. Go Tigers.

Saw a comment this morning that a JP Morgan analyst predicts a gallon will be six before too long probably for the Memorial Day weekend.

This is ridiculous! It could have totally been avoided. Unfortunately the people who voted correctly are paying the price for those who didn't.

Just so long as we don’t do any more fracking. The word “fracking” is just very scary. and oil derricks are ugly. and kind of scary looking.

Yeah, but you haven't had to read any mean tweets in many months, so it's probably worth it. But I'd tell you to get used to the high gas prices. The Dems love it. They think it'll make us all ride the bus to work. Go Tigers!

the current inflation by merely reporting government figures.
I still work (at nearly age 75,) and I've seen 45-50 percent increases in merchandise over the past two years. Certain grocery items I regularly buy have increased upwards by 70 percent over the same period, Cars, boats, housing, etc. prices are out-of-sight with my thinking being that there's a healthy dose of greed by businesses and individuals involved. Greed running rampant that in my opinion will eventually come back to bite the assssses off a whole lot of folks.
The fact is I'm not particularly upset with gas prices, as I long-expected such hikes...thinking I've held for more than the past two years. Told friends and business acquaintances some time ago that when gas dropped under $2, the oil companies would find excuses to jack up the prices, then would go on an extended tear to continue the increases. Why? They do not want $2 prices. They want $3 to $4, possibly up to $5...a level I expect to see this summer (and in fact seeing now in certain places.) The only way to try to combat: cut miscellaneous driving habits drastically.
Right now, the old rule prevails: demand is greater than supply. Until that equalizes or reverses I don't expect price relief, and unfortunately, this is not a government problem. This is a pyschological problem squarely on the shoulders of the public.

was running on fumes, AND bought "Hi-Test".
Now, the next time I have to fill my '07 Avalanche, with a THIRTY TWO gallon tank, that's when the tears start a fallin' for real. I umember spending over $126 for a fill-up once before, the LAST time gas shot up to over well over $4 a gallon. Time for a fill-up is about the only time I don't still love that truck.
