Standardized tests are no longer required for initial eligibility requirements for DI/II in 2023 and beyond.

It was initially just for the class of 2023, then proposed as a permanent measure.

They can claim that they are about academics all they want, but decisions like these show that they are not.

“Student-athlete” for major college athletes has become a misnomer.

Didn't know it was official.

But, it is not surprising. Every action the NCAA has taken concerning academics over the last 40+ years has been to lower standards and requirements.

Academics is a necessary evil to the NCAA. Minor league athletes don't need to be bothered by extraneous obligations like academics.
