Juniors entering Draft

Nov 18, 2015, 5:40 PM

NFL source tells us Clemson juniors Shaq Lawson, Jayron Kearse & Mackensie Alexander are likely to enter draft. Is this true?

Like anybody on Tigernet knows . If they all have 1st round grades then they should go pro . Think Wayne will also go pro .

Is this an inside joke or did Alexander jump from freshman to junior? Gallman is in same group as Alexander.

Both are redshirt sophomores

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think both are RS sophs which make them eligible.

Nov 18, 2015, 6:05 PM [ in reply to Re: Juniors entering Draft ]

Wayne isn't going anywhere though. He will still be the feature back next year.

Jalen Hurd, Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, Nick Chubb, Leonard Fournette, Samaje Perine, Elijah Hood, Royce Freeman Will all be draft eligible in 2017 and like I said above think Wayne leaves after this year .

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You may be correct. Hope not That would be an enorous loss.*

with choice coming back from injury

Nov 18, 2015, 9:02 PM

Who had won the starting job over Gallman last season and feaster coming in, who will get pt from day one. I'm sure Gallman sees the writing on the wall that his role next season will be greatly deminished from this season and he will want to strike while the iron is hot. I would like to see all players stay the entire 4 years but in today's game that just isn't resonable. They can leave and go get their money and still take summer courses or online courses to finish their degree.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Choice tore his ACL and Gallman has improved tenfold

Nov 19, 2015, 12:40 PM

Choice will be great still, and Feaster is immediate impact no doubt, but I would be shocked if Gallman stayed and wasn't the clear-cut starter next year. Hope this young man stays, I think he has a chance to compete with some of those high-profile name guys.

That just means he stays through his senior year. If he comes out now he's a 6th rounder at best, most likely a UDFA

Lay off the drugs @CU_Kobe_24 17 running backs went before the 6th round last year and 14 the year before that . If you don't think he would go before the 6th round you are delusional .

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I guess I'm delusional then bc I don't see it.***

me too

He won't get a high enough grade to go.

Agreed

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

Ellington who coming out of Clemson was a much better running back than Gallman went in the 6th round. Gallman this year is closer to McDowell in terms of nfl readiness, who went undrafted. If he leaves after this season it would be a huge mistake because really the only position that the nfl will wait on a player to develop is QB.

CJ Spiller stayed until his senior year, and I know he

Nov 18, 2015, 10:20 PM [ in reply to Re: Juniors entering Draft ]

Had better projections than Wayne does now. Why do you think Wayne would leave after this year?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: CJ Spiller stayed until his senior year, and I know he

Nov 18, 2015, 10:43 PM

Because the RB class this year is substantially weaker than next years

Nov 19, 2015, 2:59 PM

We're not that deep with the loss of Gallman, Brooks, and Davidson. So next year our 4 deep with be Choice, Feaster(hopefully healthy), Dye, and Fuller, in no particular order, if Gallman bolts. I wonder who the best blocker of those 4 will be.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If they like millions of dollars - maybe yes***
