JT Daniels… what am I missing

Apparently he’s the greatest QB in college football history. He was subpar at USC and beat 2 awful SEC teams, a bad 5-5 mizzou team, and a team from the American conference last season. I mean we shouldn’t even make the trip to Charlotte. According to most of the talking heads he’s gonna throw for 2000 and 12 TDs with ease Saturday.

He graduated a year early in 18, there were three 5-Star QBs that year.
Trevor Lawrence Justin Fields JT Daniels
Starting USC QB as a true freshman ( should have been his senior yr of HS).
Tore ACL and transferred to GA.
Took over midseason while recovering.
Now he's actually had time practice/prepare in Monkten's air raid offense.
He doesn't have the arm strength of the Ukulele but who does?
He is a very smart, talented QB who will destroy defenses. Plus, he has much better O-line and run game than the Ukulele.

Hate your desperation. It’s awkward.
Jake Bentley should still be in high school.
He doesn’t have any mobility nor hardware so don’t even condescend to put him with those two QB’s.
He hasn’t faced a defense with a pulse yet.
Soon…

JT was born in February 2000 and Trevor was born in October 1999. I turned 18 in June of my high school senior year and didn’t feel like I was especially young compared to my classmates. JT turned 18 in Feb. of his high school senior year. I don’t get the narrative that he’s was younger than he should have been when he entered college. Maybe he graduated in December and had spring practice with USC. But so did Trevor.

You ooze bias, and and boast a terrible take. However, I am still considering giving you a thumbs up for the "Ukelele" comment. That one actually made me snort a little bit. Still, reign in your fandom. JT Daniels is probably inside the Top 10 quarterbacks in Division 1 this year, but is somewhat similar to Phil Jurkovec at BC as far as talent goes.

Pornstache Daniels is a good serviceable QB but look at his full Freshman year. Total mediocrity, he is unproven. DJ is not yet proven. We will know soon.

I mean that’s cool and all, but who’s he gonna throw to in this air raid offense? I just don’t understand why everyone is pumping him up so hard with literally nothing extravagant on his resume.

Mr. Daniels will get an upclose and personal introduction to our defensive line, whoever is in there at the time. He will wish he was back at USC.

the fairest assessment is that the jury is still largely out on Daniels.
His four starts came against teams that really weren't particularly good defensively. A lot of QB's would have looked good against those same defenses.

I think JT is a very good QB. However, he is a bit of a paper 5 star. Closer to a strong 4 start.
He had a very inconsistent and lackluster freshman year. Showed a bit of promise but we never really saw if he could improve before being injured. So seeing if there is progress is a bit outthere.
The trick is that HE became the offensive bottleneck at time at USC. He take sacks at bad times - and a lot of those are his fault. He was on pace to be sacked nearly 35 times in a 13 game season - against bad teams late in Jawja's schedule. His 3rd down % drops a lot and struggles with obvious passing downs (at us AND Georgia).
The trick, JT is better than Stetson Bennett, but Bennett posted very similar stats against Auburn, Arky, and UT early in the season. Stetson just really, bogged down against Alabama and then UK and Fla - so to know how JT will do against better teams is still bit unknown as those were issues beyond just the QB
