Yes the talk from Rece and company about enjoying the UNC-Duke rivalry while it lasts sounds pretty ominous for the ACC. These guys sound like they know what's going down in the near future.

I think Clemson goes to the B1G. There's no reason that we would be working on AAU Accreditation if that wasn't the plan.

Clemson's total budget has doubled in the last ten years and funded research has gone up to 287 million according to the website (from under 100 million by what they had reported to Carnegie in the 2015 time frame). Not clear if that includes overhead. It could go way down in the next few years with Elon in control, though.

Big is not taking someone working in it. If you are not already accredited, you are not getting in. Working on it does not get you all the perks and you have nothing much of value in research to help all of the others.
Clemson may never end up in BIG. I say May. I don't see how UNC GOES TO BIG UNTIL THEY ARE OUT OF ACC AND HAVE THEIR MEDIA RIGHTS.

Some people come up with plans and then work their plan.... why else would Clemson put all this effort into AAU? Your mentality is ACC status quo
