Future for Hunter Renfrow? What do you think he will do after this season?

He has already proven he can still play at a high level. But, he has also proven that he is not going to get any playing time now with the Panties unless somebody gets hurt again.
I really don't see him figuring in the Panthers plans next year, so either he will be forced back onto the couch, or he will have to agree to play for another team. I would rather see him in Jacksonville, myself. If ANYBODY knows how valuable an asset HR#13 is, it is Trevor Lawrence.
I believe he would play there, if the opportunity presented itself. What say you'se?

You can look at our current coaching staff to see that.

“ Great players aren't always great coaches”
— I would say that players who were great because of their intangibles rather than freak ability have a better chance at being a great coach.
I can’t think of anyone who got more out of his ability than Renfrow. Dude burned Bama multiple times and has had a respectable NFL career - all while looking like he should have been sitting at a cubicle somewhere.

Hunter has said that he never got any benefit from WR coaching or excessively running routes.
He has a natural ability to get open that can't be taught.
and when people have an ability that can't be taught, it makes me doubt that it will translate into them being a good teacher.

Jaguars could have def used a guy that can catch the ball consistently.

unfortunately the trade deadline has wrapped in the NFL. If the jags had somehow figured a way to have added Hunter then my guess is that would have equated to at least a couple of more wins this year. Especially last week.

I love Hunter, but adding one backup WR is certainly not worth multiple wins.

only reason i say that is there have been games that they've lost this year

that were in hand and had they put together a drive or two in the 2nd half that could kill some clock then they would have probably won.
They had a 19 point lead to start the 4th qtr last week to Houston and lost b/c they couldn't sustain any drives on offense to put the game away. Alot of it has been drops and inefficiency in catching the ball. Someone provided a stat that show the Jaguars were the worst in the league in terms of dropping catch-able balls. One thing about Hunter is if the ball is close he catches it. He may not be a threat for long balls or massive TD plays but 4 yard sit down or quick possession routes to get a first down could have went a long long way for this team.
I just think Trevor is trying to do too much late in games and partly b/c he doesn't have any confidence his receivers are going to help him out. The did make the trade for Meyers which we'll see if that helps some but their WR1, that BTJ guy, has been horrible this year. Just can't catch the ball in traffic and even when he's wide open he's 50/50.

If anything it showed the world he could comeback and 3rd and Renfrow will always be open.
It wouldn't surprise me if he gets picked up by some team in the playoffs if a playoff team has a crap ton of WR injuries. Great team mate who is sharp and can run any route is a great guy to have coming off the bench if needed. But unfortunately I don't see him as a starter anymore.
With his illness and all those concussions he got cut a great short, which is sad. But I'm so glad we got to see him get 100+ catches with the raiders that one year. Showed he wasn't some system or college only player, he still gets respect from DBs. Derwin James one of the best safeties in the NFL who played for the chargers still talked about how great Renfrow was.
If some way some how he got to the Eagles or another contender and got his way to a super bowl ring talk about a football career. went to 3 national title games won 2 and a super bowl winner? Not many could ever say that.

Retire...or.maybe 1 last effort to find a team. I bet he ends up retiring due to wanting to or not being able to find a team.

He will play for the Panthers as a backup when and if needed. Stays on a payroll building retirement.

Lol I love TL, but he has been trash last few years. TL needs a fresh start and I think Renfrow will hang it up and still be uber successful in whatever business direction he decides to go.
