I’ve been defending KB since Jan. 10, 2017.

But after watching today, I just don’t think I can defend him anymore. He’s a great athlete and a good QB, but this team is SCARY good, and I simply think the collective talent on this team has passed him by. It’s not Kelly’s fault. But it’s time for him to pass the torch on to the new guys.

OSU did not have near the WR stable as we do. With no WR experience I highly doubt KB would beat out very many of the talented guys we already have at the position.

Because QBs know the offense, the switch is not as bad as you would think. Braxton Miller was not only successful at WR at OSU, but is in the NFL playing with DW and Nuk in Houston.
Defense is a possibility and might be a more realistic one considering how thin we are in the secondary. Anyone remember Patrick Sapp? Option QB who switched to LB and played in the NFL.

I don't think a team would stack the box and dare TL not to beat them.

TL was playing on a different level—and TL should still be in high school!
The spring rules take out KBs legs and that's a lot of his game, so it's not surprising he struggled. Still, he can't win games with his arm. Brice looked great—when he wasn't throwing interceptions. Johnson was hot and cold. He has a great arm, but doesn't seem entirely comfortable with the offense.
KB took us to the playoffs and was the best QB we had last season. The loss to Alabama wasn't his fault. A lot of teams would be thrilled to have him. Even so, he has zero chance of being an NFL QB. With the QB room as full as it is, it's time for him to look for other places he can contribute.

Sure if Trevor plays he's bound to make some mistakes, but his reward far outweighs his risk and outshines the talent of Kelly. Kelly is a good QB, but Trevor is on another level
