COVID-19 hospitalizations may set a new high today.

If current trends hold, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the US may be higher today than it has been in the entire pandemic. Yesterday, it was at just over 59,000, rising for the 22nd time in 23 days. At no time has that number hit 60,000 yet.
The 7-day average for deaths is at its highest point since mid-August now, and is on a very clear rise.
Obviously the number of new cases continue to rise exponentially.

will decrease a ton because they're currently peaking. He will look like the savior.
And then he'll try and use that power against us somehow.

Most have also shut down. The dem conspiracy is super strong in Iran and India. Australia too. France. South Africa too. Argentina, Peru, the list is endless. George Soros has them all in his pocket. It's amazing really. Heck, even Sweden has ordered lockdowns now.
All of this assistance by the world's countries and economies to help the liberal American leftist media perpetuate the covid myth is so greatly appreciated by George Soros and the globalist elites. They have really taken a big hit keeping the ruse going this long. And FINALLY Trump is now going to leave office, one way or another.

First, I'm officially deciding for everyone that COVID posts don't belong in the P&R anymore. The election is over, we can all acknowledge reality again.
It didn't have to be this way. Great story in the Washington Post last week about Australia, where they are now emerging and returning to "normal life." The Sydney opera house is open. Rugby stadiums packed full of fans. Restaurants and bars open. Nobody compelled to wear a mask anywhere. As of last week, they had 0 new cases in the entire country for an entire week, 18 hospitalized cases nationwide, and 1 ICU patient in their entire country. The one hospital I'm at in central VA has 22 COVID inpatients today. The story goes into some detail about how they did it, but it required buy-in from the country, both political parties, and in some cities, some serious pain with a 100 day lockdown. They took the advice of public health experts, implemented massive testing and contact tracing measures, and their government willingly and expediently funded sectors of their economy, including hospitals to allow them to financially survive without doing elective surgery, to help ease the economic pain.
Our country is obviously a little more complicated, but the common theme we're seeing around the world is that there is no return to normal or healthy thriving economy until the pandemic is controlled and that half-measures don't help either aim, supporting the economy or fighting the virus.

Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan.
You can't overlook the key thing...they are all islands. That's got to help.

The fact that it is an island with no borders to consider definitely helped. Having only 30 million people on the continent/island also helped...

Clearly some unique things that made it more feasible for them, low population being one key one.

pilots have to stay 48 hours before they can fly again (because it's a long flight). They give them a hotel room with a key card that only has 1 swipe on it. (So they can get into the room, but they can't leave until they are flying out.)

Good thing we kept all those field hospitals open, you know, the ones that cost millions and millions but never had patients. Fun times.

All hospitalizations/deaths go on Biden. If he was a leader with a plan, he'd be saving American lives right now instead of asking Special K who she wants on the cabinet.
