Its not Wess fault

It’s Dabo’s fault for hiring him in the first place .

True, but Dabo can hire him and move on. So there's that.

Looking at the way, we arm tackle and seem to not be able to make adjustments on the game fly. It is a very serious problem. This arm tackling that’s going on as a result of very soft practices or practices that are not as intense as they used to be Because man if we ever didn’t tackle Well in a game the next day at practice, we were doing wrapup drills and running until we puked. Our first offensive drive was beautiful and then Texas suggested and we haven’t done anything else so I mean I love Dabo, but I really Hope some reflections are made and I feel really bad for these kids because they don’t deserve this but that being said, I’m really proud of our team for what they accomplished this year and I just hope the right adjustments are made whatever they might be.

Understand but its time to pay the piper. Dabo sees the issue

This is his Kevin Steele/Billy Napier moment

We will never win a meaningful game with Dabo as our coach. He doesn’t have the balls to do what is needed with hiring. He is too stubborn to coach in todays college football.

Probably the most spot on thing I’ve read on here. He cares more about the kids being men in there future lives, which is awesome don’t get me wrong, but that’s not a coach that’s gonna win another natty that’s for sure

True. Dabo needs to make the right move and replace him. This bad experiment has gone on long enough

It doesn't matter who is the coordinator if the talent doesn't improve.

Wes told Dabo he didnt need portal players

Or did I hear that wrong?

We need guys like Christian Wilkins and Clelin Ferrell. If yiu can't get guys of that level, it won't solve the problem.

Those guys would just mask the problem of having Wes as a coach. How do you explain the poor performance against Louisville or even Citadel?

Look at the difference Matt Luke did with the OL with the exact same players. Coaching 100% matters

TDQnails it

Do I think Dabo should not have promoted him. Absolutely. Needed more proven elite experience I think Wes can be a very good coach. Just not quite ready for this job.

But if people cannot see that we don’t have near the talented depth we used to, I don’t know what to tell you.
When you have to play true freshman or relyi on kids that were offered by none of our peers to start, you are in trouble IF you are trying to be elite. Not saying these kids should not be on the roster as depth pieces just saying they have no business starting at a school like Clemson.

We have a talent issue people… in many areas. We have very good players in spots…. Just not nearly enough of them.

As repeated many times today…… If the University of Texas feels, it is absolutely necessary to use the portal and be elite at the modern high school recruiting game, what makes you think Clemson can get away with not doing either?

But what’s the reason for less talent? Coaching and poor development.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The talent is absolutely down, but

1

Dec 21, 2024, 5:59 PM [ in reply to Re: Its not Wess fault ]

there's more going on than just less talent.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: The talent is absolutely down, but

1

Dec 21, 2024, 6:04 PM

It's mostly less talent. If your front 7 gets pushed off the line, there aren't many adjustments you can make.

Of course, and I have said that but lack of talented depth is a huge issue

Actually, it is! If he wanted to keep his job he should have risen to the occasion. The fact he can’t do anything positive with the talent he has says it all.
