ESPN just needs to broadcast sporting events and quit the political stuff. That's why I only watch games on that network and none of the shows.

The chant is actually adapted from a line in a 1968 speech by MLK.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvymnF-_Pf8
"...They have supported us in a very real way, in our struggle for civil rights, our struggle for freedom and human dignity all across the South. And I decided that in a way, or rather as an expression of my appreciation for what they are doing for the peace movement, and for what they have done for the civil rights movement, I would take time out of my schedule to come out to see them, to visit them, and let them know that they have our absolute support. And I might say that I see these two struggles as one struggle. There can be no justice without peace. And there can be no peace without justice..."
Also, that was pretty much the definition of a peaceful protest.

I suppose that makes sense in the non-sensible world we now live in.
Bad is good. Good is bad. Logic is illogical. Lies are the truth.
We won't tell you what we want because we don't really know, but we demand it from you anyways. And we'll continue to "peacefully" beat innocent bystanders, assassinate cops, loot stores, destroy property, block freeways, and terrorize cities until we get it.

Without justice, there can be no true peace. Not sure what about that is so hard to wrap your head around. Think about it, I guess?

The real injustice is this:
"In fact, a police officer is more than 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male, than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer. If the police ended all use of lethal force tomorrow, it would have a negligible effect on the black homocide rate."

Why such mongers of hate are propped up though is beyond me.

Ok so y'all don't want people to judge every cop as bad one or racist because of the actions of other cops. But then you turn around and label the entire BLM movement as a hate group because you see people rioting. I don't understand that one bit but whatever

I think the odds of a BLM activist being a racist scumbag are much better than a cop being a bad one....just saying.
There is looting and destruction of property at all these "protests"...

All I'm doing is posting the facts that show their hypocrisy....
Black lives are all they are concerned about and that is racist....PERIOD.
The stats show that blacks are more likely to be killed by cops because they are much more likely to commit violent crimes.
I'm sorry but that is reality.....
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't investigate each of these cases and prosecute when there is wrong doing but to scream racism and pretend that this is an epidemic of cops targeting blacks is just simply being ignorant of reality.

How can all lives matter if black lives don't?

The conclusions you draw about BLM could also be drawn about the GOP when you consider the racist statements of their leader and his minions.
When you suggest that those who believe "...cops targeting blacks is simply being ignorant of reality" you show racial animus considering the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I'm not drawing conclusions....I see the false narratives they promote that lead to the violence.
And you like a lot of others continue ignore the stats that show why blacks are more likely to be killed by cops.
If you want less bodies in the streets you should protest against the culture and lifestyle that claims many more young black lives than trigger happy cops.

People like you are the reason for the protests. Kapernick

is protesting because of people like you.
In spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, white people continue to deny the reality of African Americans being killed by cops. This continued willful ignorance and denial has created a growing sense of frustration that has manifested itself in protests and demonstrations to draw attention to the problem.
Colin Kapernick should stand up and say "See. I told you fools what was going on in the most non violent non confrontational way a human can and you wouldn't listen. You got all pissy and pretended like you were harmed in some way by my actions."

I don't know why this concept is so hard to grasp....
If one portion of the population is committing the majority of the crimes, wouldn't it make sense that that portion would have more interactions with cops....and having more interactions with cops means that there is a higher likely hood of being a victim of police brutality.
Now when that happens the cop should be prosecuted but let's teach our kids to live a clean life and to not put yourself in situations that can result in tragedy.
That's the message people like Kaepernick should be sending if they really want to see a positive change.
