It's a good thing modern day democrats don't listen to James carville anymore

Love him or hate him, the guy understands the average American voter better than just about anyone else.

He recently said that democrats need to stop talking about Gaza & Student loans because those are loser issues for swing voters.

He also said that Biden needs to address the economy head on, admit that he’s failed on inflation, and take actions that directly improve the cost of living.

I didn't see where he stated that Biden needs to admit he failed on inflation. He did say that Biden needs to focus on the economy though.

Sorry, meant to say that Biden needs to admit that voters believe he has failed to effectively address inflation and that he has failed to convince them otherwise.

“People have just rendered a judgment and are not revisiting the judgment,”

“People’s attitudes about the economy are pretty stubbornly in the wrong place”

“If you’re 26 years old, you have no hope of buying a house, of educating children, yeah you’re probably living in the basement with your sister in your mother and daddy’s house. And when President Biden talks about how good the economy is, your reaction is, ‘What’s that guy talking about?’

“If you‘re a net borrower, say 26 or 27, given interest rates and insurance rates you don’t have much hope of buying a house.”

“And these schools are $75,000 a year in tuition — who the f—k can send someone to college anymore,”

Carville said that instead of talking about how good the economy is or how he has reduced inflation, Biden should "talk about things they've done to help families cope with cost-of-living increases, like the prescription drugs or releasing the strategic petroleum reserve or other things that they've done to clear up the supply chain."

than what the data says. And he can’t go out there and say their feelings are wrong, that doesn’t win people over. It doesn’t matter what data he is looking at, he needs to say I know it’s challenging for a lot of people still, here is what I am doing to help, and here is what I will do in a second term that will help us get back to a better state. Telling people their feelings are wrong does not work.

Yeah and whoever came up with the term Bidenomics

Should be taken out should be canned

I'm not sure if Biden can turn the ship around now if he wanted to. I feel like the administration really doubled down last fall when they decided they were going to convince everyone that inflation was over and the economy is great.

I just think that was a strategic error and totally enforced.

Even if they did get inflation in check and down to 2%, it's not going to change the fact that things are a hell of a lot more expensive at the grocery store and at the gas pump.

And it doesn't look like interest rates are coming down before November, so home ownership and car payments are all going to be really expensive.

That's what happens when the far left takes your party hostage because all of the so called moderates are too gutless to stop them. And the far left wants dead jews and their student loans paid off by working class Republicans, no matter how bad the optics are to the rest of the country.

There is some truth to that. Definitely. That can also be said about moderates in the Repub party are too gutless as well though dealing with MAGA nuts.

Yep agreed. The moderate Republicans used to

do a good job of keeping the nutjobs underground. When Trump was elected, the moderates didn’t call him out and instead fell in line behind him, and now the MAGA nutjobs are running the party.
