Jalen Hurts isn’t the only guy doing it. Ok, he’s strong, but when you have 500 lbs pushing that’s what moves the pile. Not the QB. He just keeps churning and the push is what does it.

No he isn't the only guy doing it at all. It's just when you have him with the tush push it works.

Nope, but being extremely strong a great runner and athlete is a huge reason they do it. There is a reason so many other teams don't use it in the NFL. It's not some secret.

It’s not a requirement that your QB can squat 600lbs.
We would utilize Cade in it. No problem. It’s not the QB whole provides the drive.

No it's not but it helps to have a powerful runner. It's a huge part of why Hurts can't be stopped even when they are in short yardage with no tush push. He is a powerful runner.

Totally agree. The jumbo package is outdated and only seems to work against crappy ACC teams. It has failed quite a bit over the last 4 years.

You could put in a bigger player to run QB that play. As I said, several teams use it and it just about never fails. Of course it helps to have a QB with leg strength like Hurts but it isn't necessary.

There's a reason it isn't run in the NFL all of the time. It's not like they don't know. You do bring up a good point, but they probably don't trust a RB under center with count and the snap.

Because we are nothing like having Hurts back there. The Eagles wouldn't run it consistently like that if let's say Wentz was their QB. They run it due to Hurts

True. Bills do it. It depends on the in the NFL. You wouldn't do it much if you had Tom Brady or P. Manning. You need the right durable guy.

I watch tons, but you must not watch much yourself if you think the Eagles and Hurts is the norm. They use Hurts for short yardage all game. That's his game. Same with Josh Allen Also,. you must not watch Clemson much if you think Cade is used to playing under center. It could be something that is worked in though. The tush push won't be the norm next year for us. It might be cool to see it a couple of times though. I doubt they will work on that though.

That's not that many for the season for the NFL. It's been happening for years. It's just more common for certain teams like the Eagles... Here you go.
"Philadelphia Eagles are considered the team that executes the most "tush pushes" in the NFL, significantly more than any other team, making it a staple play in their offensive strategy; they are often credited with popularizing the play."
It's because of their QB.

You are so wrong brother but ok.
Here's an excerpt from ChatGPT that says its been used by all levels of college football. Including UGA, Ohio State, and Obama..
"The "tush push," also known as the "brotherly shove," is a play where the quarterback is pushed from behind by teammates (usually offensive linemen or a fullback) to gain extra yards, typically on short-yardage situations like 3rd-and-1 or in goal-line scenarios.
This play has become especially popular with the Philadelphia Eagles in recent seasons, who have been particularly effective at executing it, especially with Jalen Hurts as the quarterback. However, several other NFL teams have used some variation of the tush push at various points. Teams like the Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, and Indianapolis Colts have also been known to employ it on occasion, though none have used it as frequently or as effectively as the Eagles.
The NFL hasn't formally outlawed the play, though it's become a point of discussion, particularly after the Eagles' success with it. Since it's largely a quarterback sneak with pushing assistance, teams that have more powerful offensive lines or mobile quarterbacks tend to implement it with success.
So while the Eagles have been the most associated with it, multiple teams have run versions of the tush push. However, there’s no official count of how many different teams have used it at any given time, but it’s not limited to one or two teams.
You said: Have any college football teams use the tush push play? ChatGPT said: ChatGPT Yes, college football teams have also used the tush push or similar quarterback sneak plays where players push the quarterback from behind to gain extra yards. While the specific term "tush push" might not be as commonly used in college football as it is in the NFL, the concept is still present in both the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) and lower levels of college football.
In fact, pushing the quarterback from behind has been more widely accepted in college football than it has in the NFL. The NCAA rulebook does not prohibit it, unlike the NFL, where the tactic is a subject of controversy and debate. As a result, many college teams, especially in short-yardage or goal-line situations, have used this tactic to gain tough yards.
Teams with strong offensive lines or mobile quarterbacks, like Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State, have been known to run this play effectively. College football teams in general seem to use the tush push or similar variations more frequently and openly than their NFL counterparts, as it is a legal and often effective strategy in college football."
Not trying to have a marathon argument with ya. Enjoy the AFC championship. Go Tigers!

It is used. It just works 80% of the time for the Eagles for a reason. They have a great OL and hurts. Also, our WB doesn't play under center. It's not as straightforward as you think it is. That said, agree to disagree. I would like to see it here and there though.

Rule shouldn’t have changed. Huge advantage for offense worst is when rb is stopped by lb or safety and ol comes at full speed and plows them all.
