I wish it had been the third but it's what I have. The year was 2019

We attended the wedding of our friends' son in Jackson, MS on Saturday evening. Clemson was playing in the elimination game in the Oxford regional on Sunday so we decided to drive up and see it in person. Not a great decision. Jacksonville State beat us 9-2. I remember watching that game and thinking that our guys must have had vacation rentals that started that night. They played like they would rather be anywhere but on that baseball diamond. No heart whatsoever. I thought surely I would never see anything that bad from a Clemson ball team ever again.

And then today happened.

At least I wrapped up my 2019 disappointment by sitting in the swing on Elvis's front porch in Tupelo.

Today could end with heavy drinking.
