The median cost of a house is 800,000 for a house. Reports show that around 1300 houses have been destroyed. Nationally Hawaii is ranked 2nd in tax burden and 41 nationally in tax. It’s good to see ole Joe ”authorize” a one time payment to each household $2300 to get back on their feet.
Any word on how many of the countries around the world that we fork side to year in and year out are going to pitch in for relief?

The really good news is if it's true that "the elites" are capable of steering a hurricane to cause this fire, I'm very confident of two things.
1-"the elites" are confident the end of the world is much farther away than the 7 1/2 years remaining on AOC's Doomsday Clock
2-we have a good shot indeed at altering the climate
However, if the Jewish space LASER was used to start this whole conflagration, probably only #1 applies.Furthermore if the LASER is determined to have caused the fire, Maui may become the center for a wave of antisemitism.

Because our politics have continuously failed us in tragic situations and it’s okay to call them out on it because that is where our earned money goes. Remember, they work for us, not the other way around. there, certainly not "rolling in it," what do you do? Hotels would be virtually unaffordable due to tourism even if you have the out-of-pocket scratch before insurance reimbursed you.
Not exactly like you can drive on the cheap to a location that does.
Your job is gone, and you're not getting a paycheck until you find another one wherever you end up.

reading I've done on the topic, the local govt's attempt to implement any fire mitigation actions whatsoever in advance of this were just horrible.
