Lands at 3:48 central time. Probably means the reports are true. Thank you Brent for all you have done for Clemson and best of luck with the Sooners. He stayed longer than anyone else would have in his position, and it’s no doubt a huge loss for our program. That being said, I am excited to watch our team overcome new challenges and win more championships. Go Tigers!

And I seriously doubt they would be flying it to and from GSP today if it’s not to bring Vensbles back to Norman.
Personally I think he’s making a huge mistake - not got leaving for a head coaching job but for leaving for that job. He’s inheriting a decimated team about to join the SEC with high expectations. I wish him the best but will be surprised if he’s still there in 4 years.

just an indicator they are talking. I’ve said from the jump BV is their man while others said otherwise. I’m simply saying until BV announces or someone confirms that has any credibility on the matter, it’s not a smoking gun.

You can't fault him. Its never a bad decision to take a job offering life changing money. Even if he's not not coaching in a few years he will be getting millions from OU. There's not a person on this board who would reject that.

I think it is the right move.
And if he fails and wants to be a DC again, I don’t think he will have any problem whatsoever. Even if his Sooners are allowing 50pts a game in the mouth breather conference.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Brent has been ready for a head position for a while. We are lucky he stayed this long. He deserves it, but it is not the coaching change I hoped would happen. I just hope Dabo does not go for a former player again....we'll see won't we. Brent's job is a coveted job and they don't have to settle for just anyone. They can get just about who they want. Let's hope it is not Muschump....gag.

But I thank THAT job is. He could get the $ and a job where he’d be more likely to succeed. If they cut him in a few years he can go back to DC but if he really wants to be a HC long term it’s not a good move IMO to go there.
