No, he went 5-7 last year and that was his best record as a head coach. One season doesn’t define a head coach, ask Gene Chizik or Ed O, both won a NC and were terrible head coaches outside those years they won it.
Your question is naive at best and idiotic at worst… I’m thinking the latter.

Do you actually think Dabo is a good x and o coach? Dabo was a great recruiter in the old football world but not the same guy in this new era NIL. Dabo has struggled mightily since Scott, Elliot, and Venables left . He is not a good x and o coach and that’s not even debatable .

Dabo would do well these days to think before he speaks. He was a cute novelty inthe glory years but it has worn thin on me and my friends who are devout Tigers.

seems to be on track for a good season, particularly IMO due to Chandler Morris being up under center. I think his defense might be suspect.
Dabo has some major problems to resolve, but at this point, I'd put more faith in him doing so than Tony, were he in the same position. That's because Dabo has a long history of stellar success. Tony doesn't. The question, therefore, remains: is Dabo willing to make the tough calls necessary to get our program back on track, for some or many may require rethinking his modus operandi? Time will tell, because I don't forsee him anywhere but in our HC's office the next few years. Tony, on the other hand, has to find the way to win enough games this season to keep his job from being in jeopardy, and I wish him the best.

They look like they care more, yes. And they definitely have a better QB.
It’s time to separate Dabo by before portal and NIL, and after. They are so different. One made great decisions and the other one made the worst decisions.
I wonder how the program would be if the portal rule was never changed and the NIL never got approved. I also wonder where we’d be if Dabo adapted immediately instead of not at all.

Does he have better coordinators and position coaches than Dabo does? Obviously,Yes…most teams do. Being a head coach is more about adapting on the fly, and having a vision for what the program needs as a whole…that’s what gets you on top year after year…we will see
