Is something happening behind the scenes with conferences lining up

We these court cases getting worked out in a settlement, will that push our cases timeline up with the ACC wanting to settle.
This is going to get interesting as everything goes to College Pro leagues.

This is an important consideration -- there will be another wave that leaves current P2 wagon riders behind (Vandy, Northwestern, Rutgers, Indiana, Purdue). The resulting "league" will be comprised of 8 (or so) "divisions" that will be made up of 8 (or so) schools per division. Those divisions will look a lot like the conferences that were around in the 80s (Big8, SWC, Pac8, etc)

I know nothing. But, it seems reasonable to me that when 48-64 football teams break away from the NCAA they will divide up into divisions which may not look anything like the conferences we have now.
Wishful thinking on my part, but I would love a region of 9 teams (that way you could play 89 games in your regions 4 home, 4 away).
UF, FSU, UGA, Clemson, SC, TN, Bama, Aub, and I'd even throw GT in there.

something like that happen. Basically a region where you have some current ACC members along with the eastern part of the SEC. So like: FSU, UF, UGA, GT, Clemson, SC, UNC, NC State and UT. That would be an awesome region with great natural rivalries.

The hold up to forming this breakaway football league will be the egos of Sankey and Petitti. I agree that this will happen, but not tomorrow.

Let's just breakaway the football league then leave all other sports in their respective conferences. The entire ACC is very competitive in just about every sport except football as a whole.
Im good with the competition of soccer, bball's, Lacrosse, etc.

But wait...this was supposed to be all settled by now and everyone was dying to have us and the semiholes in their conference...all done and we'd be home free...ain't that easy...hope we only shot ourselves in the foot and not the gonads!
