That would be nice but I doubt it.
What I find really frustrating is some of the cutting corners and short-sighted approach by the Clemson Athletic Department to some facility improvements. In the Neff article on Tigernet on Friday, he said they are looking at adding another basketball practice court and expanding the Swann Pavilion. Really? We just build the practice facility and Swann Pavilion 5-6 years ago. It is already outdated? And we built a first basketball practice facility that was woefully inadequate and had to tear it down just a few years later. We replaced it with the one we have now a few years ago and now it is not adequate? This going cheap and short-sighted and then replacing / re-doing is penny wise and pound foolish. I hope the new AD will push for considering long-term needs and addressing those the first time.

I would posit that the additional court is to address Title IX concerns and EXPAND practice options. Sorta like having more than a single football field. (Especially if we had a women’s football team!).
Also if gymnastics is to use Littlejohn as a competition space the extra court would accommodate the cross-scheduling.

I understand that but couldn't they have build enough courts the last 2 times we built a practice facility. I am not sure the need now is due to adding gymnastics. I thought the gymnastics team was getting its own practice facility by the current rowing facility, as well as a new lacrosse facility and stadium.
We were told the last re-do of the practice facility was do accommodate when the arena was not available (other events, concerts, etc.) so that both the men's and women's team could practice without needing the arena.

The other basketball court is for when gymnastics meets are held and there is a conflict that both men and women need to practice. At the most there would only be one meet a week if that. The Gymnatics team will have there own practice facility.

I hope the #### not. Money would be better spent further upgrading the football facilities. Personally, I'd like to see about 10 cryogenic chambers added to Reeves Complex. Return on Investment-

Just a personal observation, and based solely on a quick Google search, two of our closet rivals not named Duke or UNC both play in arenas that are not much different than Littlejohn; FSU plays in the Donald Tucker Center ,capacity 12,500, opened in 1981 and renovated in 2014 at about 10 million dollars. Georgia Tech plays in the McCamish Pavilion, capacity 8600, opened in 1956,renovated in 2010 at 45 million dollars. Clemson plays in Littlejohn, which seats 9000, was opened in 1968 and renovated in 2016 at 63.5 million dollars. Ga. Tech defeated FSU for the 2021 ACC Championship. Anybody care to tell me the last time Clemson even made it to the Title game of the Tournament? Point being players and coaches make a team great, not the arena or even the city. After all would you really want to have to deal with all the crap that goes on in downtown Atlanta or Tallahassee?
Again just a quick observation!

With the explosion of cost of goods and the real possibility of delays in materials, cost cutting has become a necessary evil.
