He does it WAY too often. Missing putts inside 6 feet over his career is what has separated him from "good pro" to "household name". It sucks, but that's what it is.

This is correctable. He needs to embrace the Dave Stockton putting method.

This isn't anyone's fault but Lucas and his coach's. He needs a new putting coach and a new putting method. I could teach a monkey to putt inside 6 feet.

-6 through the first 11 ... then bang ... the wheels came off +5 (with a triple on a par 5) on a four hole strect 13-16, then birdied 17 to finish 2 under.

There's nothing like it when Doc gets hot. Had a 4 hole stretch of straight birdies last week as well. He just needs to minimize the big numbers. Hope he can carry the momentum from his back 9 today into the rest of the week and lock up his card for next season. Gonna have to go low.

I believe it was the other direction. Doc started off on the back nine. He was up to +4 after his seventh hole and then went -6 after that to finish at -2.
