I cannot stand Belichick and his horrible personality, nor can I stand UNC and their annoying selves. UNC is like a redneck family that lucked into money somehow. They might be rich, but they have no idea what sophistication is. You can’t buy class, Tarholes.
With today’s news that the two sides are looking into buyout options, I can’t wait to see what the next chapter looks like. This is the “Carolina Way,” yes?

All I can say is man was that a short honeymoon. New coaches usually get at least two years, two months is pretty bad.

I would be enjoying it more if they were the least bit concerned. But they're not. The HC of football at UNC needs only to be halfway decent until basketball starts. Then they REALLY don't care. First and foremost in the hearts and minds of every Tarheel:
Beat Dook Don't lose to anyone else Beat Dook Win the Conference (preferably by beating Dook) Getting to the Final 4 (not just making the Tournament mind you. That's not near enough) Winning the NC. (preferably by beating Dook)
have I said Beat Dook?
Remember back during Mack's first coaching stint there? He had them 11-1. Could get an ounce of respect, never mind anymore money for the program. Mack was gone. Surprised me when he came back.
No, the Tarheels biggest concern right now is not Bill. It's Hubert.

Id forgotten the cause for Browns departure, but in hindsight it seems his return indicated UNC had run out of ideas. The failure that I'd the Bellicheck experiment looks like confirmation.

Tigerhurst you are spot on. I’ve always said football is “preseason entertainment”. Heels are mad when basketball is not going well but just slightly annoyed at bad football. I think the Board of Trustees thought the BB hire could jump start the program into relevance and create instant football culture. You just can’t manufacture interest in a fan base that does not care.

Lombardi and Bill are football terrorists. Lombardi's out of touch letter to boosters made me mad on behalf of UNC fans it was so out of touch and arrogant.
Tale as old as time Yankees come down south with glitz and glamor thinking they're smarter and better than all the locals. It takes the locals 2 seconds to figure out of whats going on before running said Yankees out of town on a rail. I just can't believe UNC folks fell for it to begin with.

He won 0 without Tom Brady.
Brady immediately left and won and went to the playoffs every year after leaving the cheatin patriots.
As Saban and many other have shown, the NFL and college are VERY different skillsets. Last I checked, UNC was not in the NFL.

The man knows football yet appears completely clueless on the sidelines, which is probably why the Tar Heels are sucking hind tittts on boar hogs. Makes me wonder why he'd care to put up with the hassle rather than riding off into the sunset with his bank accounts and young girlfriend.

What was his record at New England after Tom Brady was gone? I could look it up but don’t care enough to take the time. The point is one of the “greatest NFL coaches of all time” became a very average coach once he didn’t have the greatest quarterback of all time.

1) Their indignant attitude towards Clemson in having the GALL to vote for us to have an extra year of probation in 1983. In spite of denials I still think that was the Tarholes doing in the first place. 2) Their AD turned ACC Commissioner trying to impose a penalty on us for being in shells pre-season until pictures of his beloved Tarholes came to light in the same shells. 3) Their AD turned ACC Commissioner showing up at the Tarhole NCAA hearings in SUPPORT of UNC knowing the DECADES LONG worst Academic Cheating Scandal in NCAA history started under his watch as UNCheat AD. 4) Their AD turned ACC Commissioner screwing the rest of the ACC by propping up RAYCOM with our TV rights so that his son could have a job and fatcat salary. 5) Getting off SCOTT FREE for the decades long worst Academic scandal in NCAA history. 6) When our basketball team had to play with 4 players on the court due excessive fouls called when the referees were answering to their AD turned ACC Commissioner

we had from 1987-2021 killed ACC football. Looking at you Gene Corrigan & John Swofford. During the 34 years they were running the show, the most dynamic and impactful changes in CFB history were happening. And they were either asleep at the wheel or happy to just maintain the status quo, interested only in protecting the ACC basketball legacy.
But other conference leaders were proactive. They could feel the earth moving under their feet. They knew that football was king and had the vision to see that powerful football conferences could demand more money in future TV contracts. So they went out and snagged the best football programs and large big-name schools. The SEC got Tex, Okla, Tex A&M. The BIG nabbed Penn St, Oregon, Sou Cal, UCLA.
The ACC always came stumbling along later, trying to pickup the crumbs. Hey, how about BC & Syracuse? Pitt & Louisville? Cal & Stanford? He1l, strong cases were made for Conn, ECU & WV.
So here we are today in the current ACC. And it blows donkey balls.

Agree 1 million percent! Growing up in North Carolina and enduring the BS carowina way (cheating) I despise them more than ANY other school in the country. I'd trade a winning lottery ticket if it meant they lost every game in every sport from now through eternity.

I believe Ole Bill saw a chance to make some easy money and jumped on it. Evidently, unc folk aren’t as smart as they think they are. Returning Mack was a head scratcher I thought. He didn’t help revive the program as they thought he would. But I thought from the beginning that hiring Bill B was a very bad decision. But I don’t cry when they get their butts handed to them, in any sport!

They are coming to the SEC and know they will be a laughing stock in football if big improvements are not made. Hence, hoping the best ever NFL coach will draw immediate results with the best available players. Isn't working but they will keep trying with another if need be.
You have to wonder how they, potentially, will water football down. Can you imagine what their traveling fans will have culture shock coming over here seeing several stadiums double the size of theirs and how serious football is taken?

Cant be any worse than the Gamecocks who went 1-10 and 0-11 back to back only six years after joining the SEC, never won anything but the 1969 ACC championship and went to the SECCG one time and embarrassed the league with the most lopsided loss in SEC championship game history.

Considering that I live in Raleigh, about 30 min from CH, it's all over the news. Being in wuffy territory, I would think they'd be loving it, but there are a lot of tar holes around. I don't believe the breakup is imminent. Both sides hav publicly stated they're in it for the long haul. I have a feeling that belicheck is providing more "structure" than many are used to, and areuoset
