Well maybe we should not have started out with the finesse screen pass and ran it right up the gut to start with.
This team’s season will depend on the adjustments the OCs make for the remainder of the season .
I am hoping the last 3 quarters were a wake up call.

Talk is cheap. Our arses can cash any check our mouths can write. Howard ought to look and see what building a program looks like. We are winning them all, and we are giving all our guys chances to contribute in meaningful situations, instead of just "mop up duty". That is what builds the entire team, and it makes us so special among the other programs out there. By season's end we will reap the benefits of all of this free substitution. I already see it. Opponents will get an up close and personal look at it too as the season wears on, and they won't like it, and they will hate it down the road. We are building, have built, a dynasty. This thing has gotten so fun!!! Great to be a Clemson Tiger!!!!!!!

While I agree that thrashing Wake is not extremely meaningful, a comparison of the Notre Dame at Wake game (from 2 weeks ago) is significant. 63-3 is significantly better than 56-27. Wake had 259 rushing yards vs ND (more than ND), and I doubt that ND had their third string defenders playing before the 3rd quarter was halfway over.
So, the CU performance was awesome, even if it was against a poor team.
NCSU will roll into town thinking they will spoil CU's season, so the CU pass blocking better be good early in that game.

NCSt won't know what's going to hit them. What will it be, a 8 - 12 (or longer) run by ETN, a play action bomb to Higgins, quick in the seam to Renfrow or ....... The Tigers have 6 more regular season games to perfect the offense and become the best team in college football. If you're paying attention, the signs are there.
