on if the offense is going to step up this year..last year there was very little if any talk of the offense having good days against our defense...hopefully we hear of some good days by the offense this camp

No matter what is happening at practice, we will hear about the offense doing great and how awesome DJ is.
We’ll know sometime in September.

we heard about how the defense dominated..much was made about how great our defense was...but this year if that same tone comes out it will be time to worry

Agreed and why most were shocked. “Has made great strides, doing great, very excited with his progress, etc. etc.” and then actually see the wheels had fallen completely off the offense. But then with no other options, what else could have been said? We’ll know by halftime at GT if not before. Wish him the very best and hope last year was just an anomaly.

Our defense is going to be dominant against every team this year.
I’m looking for our offense to gain confidence each week. We need to have success in the first two games. Have success running to set up the pass.

Is our defense so dominant that it’s detrimental to the offense at practice? Iron sharpens iron, of course, but maybe the offense needs to taste some success to gain confidence and rhythm. If every play is blown up in practice, they aren’t learning much.

We'll know where the offense is and is headed after the Wake game. Even without a dominant defense like the Tigers have, the defense is going to win the day most days during fall practice.
What is important is offensive growth over the first 3 or 4 games. If that happens, the playbook opens up and it's off to the races!
The last thing any of us want to see this year is the playbook shrinking again.
