I remember losing him to Bama out of high school.
He's always been a freak athlete, but now it sounds like he has the right environment to thrive.
National pundits don't talk much about him, but he is going to be a difference maker on an already crazy good defense.
I can't wait to get back to scaring teams when our D steps on the field.
Go Tigers!!

ZERO chance Wade loses his spot. I see him as a day two draft pick if he has the year I think he could have and stays healthy. Dude is actually a MUCH better athlete and better range than BB or Skalski were with close to their level of knowledge of the game. But Alexander will be kn the field..a lot and some where as a mismatch.

and personal pressure to achieve greatness... sounds like that my be a personality type to recruit in for FOOTBALL (a contact , nothing to something sport).
Meanwhile, are there any coaches sons or private school prep programs recruits needing a roster spot?

I’m curious if his work ethic is that much better than everyone else’s or if he is just used to the standard set at Alabama and it’s not that hard at Clemson. I’ve been saying for a while we are soft on defense.

Which player are you going to walk up to and tell them, "you play soft." Remind me, you were an all-american when ?
You can say they are out of position, slow, use poor technique, but don't call them soft. They lay it on the line every game.

Clemson was 8th in the country in defense in 2023, but 2024 collapsed. How was 2023 and before soft? Maybe last year, but I'm not buying that the 8th best defense in the country is soft. About 125 teams in the country would have loved to be 8th. Come on, man.

Depends on what context you're using soft. I wouldn't use soft. I'd say it's more that they didn't get the coaching they needed. As for D numbers, yes our D had good numbers in 22 and 23 but that's more of a reflection of a soft schedule.
Coaching matters, as does iron sharpening iron. It's nice to see a transfer CAN actually be better than a high school prep star.

Well.. even though it really kind of feels like you're trolling I will say what many dont want to admit. Nick Saban ran an incredible program where accountability was absolutely the standard. It wasn't just that they recruited better than everybody, lots of programs do that. Ol Nick was probably the best coach of the modern era no matter what some on here might think. Besides outside of personality I think you would see he and Dabo are more alike than many people would believe.

Great to read, as a former 5 star you have to believe he has all the skills to be good. So hopefully now he is in the right environment to thrive. I think Coach Allen will cut him loose to wreak havoc all over the field.

Really good to hear about this, and how this transfer is allowing him to really grow at a program that was probably the place he should of started his career. Now knowing how he is developing and training , he might become a better version of himself , just based on his own life changes , expectations, and/or experiences in football , that has gotten him to this point in his life... His training and determination is showing his skillset....God bless him and the Clemson football team...
Go Tigers!! 🐅 💪

If Alexander makes the LB group a 3-man rotation...

.... then the D should be elite and dominating this year.
Barring injury with the Front 4, if Alexander, Brown and Woodazz all play quality ball (all conference or better) then the front 7 should be something to behold. We may see more 4-3-4 than 4-2-5 as the base D, and at any rate, those three should be able to rotate in the 4-2 front and keep each other fresh.
Any DB coach can tell you a DB's best friend is a pass rush. And, any DC can tell you job #1 is to stop the rush, then job #2 for the front 4 is meet at the QB.
