Im just hoping Gary Pattersn doesnt get hired and next year

if we dont improve and lose to uga and usuck again we go after this guy. If tdp would have offered him more money than he did before he hired dabo just think how good we would be right now. Thats exactly what clemson needs is a hard nosed disciplined football team whose coaches know how to develop players. And to all you dabo pumpers we accomplished nothing this year. Uscuks best win was a 28 pt victory over UGA ours is a narrow victory over Nc state. 4 years to usuck? After we get punished by lsu later this month and uga to start next year maybe people will see the light.

Hard-nosed disciplined players?

You mean all of the same players that have been busted for drugs or gone to rehab for drug addictions in the last couple years? Good plan...

TCU lost 2 starters at the begining of the season to the drug bust. They also lost 2 rbs due to inury. Their starting qb was kicked off the team as well. They are one of the youngest teams in the country with a freshman qb who wasn't even supposed to see the field. They beat a WVU team that killed us last year as well as Texas and took OU to the last possession. Having gone to multiple games this year I wouldn't bet the farm on us being able to beat the 7-5 TCU team

Clemson nearly beat one of TCU's best teams ever in 2009. Don't think this TCU team is better than that one, and I think this Clemson team is better than that one.

instead of losing to placate your sense of indignity at Swinney coaching the team. I swear, some of you would rather Clemson lose every game than have a wrong opinion about who should be coaching the team.

He was the guy I was hoping tdp would hire, but obviously $'s got in the way due to the TB payout.
Patterson has not only proven he can play with the big boys in the Big XII, his teams have earned a reputation for playing physical and being a very tough out.
I hope we get him if Dabo can't get it done vs. SCAR next year. 5 in a row would be BEYOND unacceptable.

will you agree to become a diehard TCU fan and not be so critical of our team and coaches? (and maybe post more on the Patterson website?)

During the time we were in the hiring process, I heard, with my own ears, Gary say he wasn't leaving TCU for any amount and would never even consider it but for one particular job. And, yes, he told us what job that is. All that matters is it isn't Clemson.

however. I dont think its right to even mention who you would liek to replace a current coach with especially when he is wining games and developing young student athletes.
I would like to ee how we would look playing against some mid level teams.
Would we have won 10 games if GT, NCST, VT or AUB had they been 8 or 9 win teams? I'm not sure. I'm glad we are beatng all he teams we are better than, i just wonder how we would look against some 8-9 win teams like Vandy, Miss St, Ok ST, Ore St...
Its hard to measure our progress when the teams we are playing got worse rather than better. Maybe next year will give us what we need to see.
We are not good enough on bith sides of the ball to beat top 10 or 12 teams, even half the time.
We are good enough to beat weak opponents.
I believe next year playing GA, FSU and SC after they lose some talent will show us alot.
We will also have to beat an 8 or 9 win team in the ACCCG if we get there. We wll have at least 4 chances to see our progress. Then add in a bowl game.
We will have 5 chances to beat teams with 8 or more wins next year. If we can win 3 of these 5 it will be certain that we are getting better.
The defense will determine That.
Until then, keep replacement coach talk in your own mind it doesnt help at all. How would up you like your wife to make plans for your replacement if you dont pan out? The least she could do is keep it to hewr self.
Go Clemson, Beat LS-WHOOOOOOO!
