But if CGR can't get this offense's crap together I truly believe Dave Clawson would be home run hire to bring in and right that ship. The man has never left a school without it being better than he found it. And when his offenses at Wake were humming (even with bottom of the barrel talent) they were fun to watch.

I want to see us hire someone who utilizes a power run game with multiple TE sets, 2-back sets, a FB type of player (Alscott) and prefers a pocket passer who works through progressions before making a play with their legs.

This is most likely an unpopular choice, but wearing defenses down, 12-16 play drives, converting on 3rd and (1-3) by bullying their defensive line, ripping their hearts out a few yards at a time.

I think choosing to run a style of offense that hasn't won a national championship since 2013 would be a mistake but that's just me.

Alabama was not power run 2 back set in 2015 and 17. They were a spread offense.

Michigan ran RPO when they brought Gattis in.

I like Clawson and I know Dabo really respects him. He has a ton of experience and would be another adult in the room. He could play a quasi Jeff Scott role with Dabo, something he seems to be missing.

I don’t hate the idea but would definitely do my homework and shop around.
