If I had to win a game to save my life, I would take either of them at the controls, but if I HAVE to choose between them to win one game, for me it's Deshaun. No disrespect to Trevor.

Does any one know of a complete list of last minute winning TD/FG drives for each of these QBs? The only two that immediately to mind are DW4 against Alabama in 2016 and TL16 against Ohio State in 2019.
If these are the two samples of game winning drives due to numerous blowouts during their careers, we could compare successful final drives of the first half maybe?

Maybe go with times we got blown out, only including games they both started and finished. DW4, 0; TL16, 2.
DW4 only lost to Pitt at the buzzer and Bama by 5 in the NC.

Pitt game was definitely on #4. Tossed a God-awful int in the endzone when we're up 8 in the last few minutes. ESPN had reported that we had a 99% chance of winning before that pick. I would pick Watson over Trevor in a 3-minute drill but that was a terrible decision in the Pitt game.

In the 4th qtr, DW was incredible. Alabama 2 times, Louisville vs Lamar come quickly to mind. It just seemed like he would throw the unforced interception too often early in games or at the start of 3rd quarter (seems like Louisville game vs Lamar again) that would make games closer than they could have been.
I worried about DW getting hurt more often (Alabama helicopter tackle) with his running style.
Both were incredible competitors and we are happy they chose Clemson. Think DW had better tight end with Leggett but Trevor had better RB with ETN.

As for the other question, easily the former, not the later. You can always catch the replay later...
My similar thought too.
DW4 will always have the legendary drive to win the natty but TL16 had more dominant games where we just beat the pants off most people.
DW4 had more thrilling games but TL16 was just outright dominant in the regular season and left no doubt in those games. (Granted the ACC was also starting to weaken during TLs time)
Yeah, the LSU & Ohio St. games may take a little of the shine off TL16 to some folks but I don't see the results being too different with DW4 at the helm either considering how the games played out
(Defense losing the backend to freak WRs & Elite QB play, our WRs getting jammed on routes to where almost no one was ever open, lack of pass rush, etc)
That said, TL16 for the game, DW4 for the game winning drive.

I love TL and I hope he is very successful at the pro level and even surpasses the accomplishments of DW4; but based on their records in big games at the college level - I am picking DW4 - without any misgivings.

I ask myself how might the second quarter and beyond have gone on offense in the LSU and OhioSt losses with Watson at QB. Of course it’s unknowable, but I’m taking Watson. He had that extra level of mobility to extend plays that Lawrence isn’t built to execute.

Watson might have beaten LSU. The pressure from LSU's DTs bothered Lawrence and he was off, missed throws, missed open players. There was a moment in the third when we had some momentum and could have gotten back in it. I think with Watson's ability to extend plays and guts, that would have been a shootout like the first Alabama game.

Watson. After about halfway through his sophomore year I had this gut feeling before every game that if Watson was healthy, we would win. Never got that same feeling with Trevor. It's up for debate who had the better overall teams during their era at Clemson but Watson just always seemed to find a way to make the big play when it mattered most.

Their stats are very similar. Watson does have 1000 more rushing yards in many more attempts.
Each had 1 NC with 1 loss in NCG.
The glaring stat that gives it to Trevor is that Watson had 15 more interceptions in his career. That's a lot over 3 years.
