If we win out,

we're an upset or two away from still being in the Playoff. We'd especially be helped out if UNC also wins out, giving us a great win on that final weekend.
TCU will probably be underdogs @ Texas next week and will be close to a pick'em the week after @ Baylor. The Big 10 probably only gets 1 team in if OSU beat Michigan (OSU beating ND may give them the edge over us).
The SEC probably gets two in with UGA and Tennessee, but if TCU loses, it means we'd just need the PAC-12 to have a 2-loss champion (which is very possible with Oregon still playing Utah, USC still playing UCLA, USC still playing ND, and there being a conference championship game).
If we win out, we'll be right there on the bubble of the CFP. Ultimately, I don't think we have the team to win it this year, but there's still a ton to play for in these final few weeks.

Nor should we. Definitely not a playoff team this year. Tonight was embarrassing.

Sorry to say you are sadly mistaken... Our poor performance IS NOT going to allow us to be In the conversation... We need to take notes from Georgia, they are relentless to The last play of the game and they will not slow down on scoring For one second, no matter how much they are up by. We will win the ACC but will not make the playoff????

Agreed. Easy to be down on the team after tonight’s lack of performance (I admittedly am). However, I remember 2016 when we lost to Pitt. Some other key losses across the country put us right back in it. I will say, we will need to make a QB change and show we have more fight to help our cause. Next week’s game will be very interesting indeed.

We had better talent in 2016. Big difference...we are no where close to having the needed talent to compete in the playoffs

In 2016, the ACC was considered the strongest conference! Now,

it is considered the weakest by the pundits!

Buddy they didn't want us in when we were undefeated! Plus everyone saw exactly what we all saw and that's we weren't playoff material. Not just DJ either. The way the defense played against FSU said alot as well

No chance we could get in the playoff after tonight. We have looked worse the last 2 games than we did at any point in last year’s abysmal season.

The O was not good tonight, but the D has to much talent to be unable to stop the run. We can win out but I cannot see any way to make the CFP.

If we win out we’ll be 13-1 with a quality Orange bowl win. Not a bad year.

Get a grip, Clemson is out. It would take many, many upsets that are currently not for seen for Clemson to even sniff the college football playoffs

So even with a loss, another 1-loss team would get in ahead of us.

No need to put Tenn into a playoff

after today. I follow the logic, but no reason to believe they’ll be competitive in a rematch. Its better for CFB to see new matchups in the 3 top games of the year.
Same logic holds for Oregon, but a conference championship earns them a spot over a division runner-up

Do you really want to be in the playoffs with the way we have played this season? I would rather be in a winnable bowl at the end of the season. The offense hasn't shown that they could win a national championship at any point this year. Winning the games we have left is the only thing I care about for now.
