If we go to Big 12 fans are really going to miss going to

May 23, 2012, 9:45 AM

relatively close away games like in Atlanta and NC. And most fans love that the ACCCG is in Charlotte. I'm not saying it is the same as Boise St joining the fing Big East. I just hate to see some of those close schools not on our schedule. Only a very small portion of CU alum even know a K State grad and now they could be our cross division rival?

Do you realize how many fans Clemson has across the US?

May 23, 2012, 9:49 AM

I'm up near DC and I cannot BELIEVE the amount of fans up there. I heard Dallas, Oklahoma City, and St Lious were even more dense. I think there will be fans that drop off the traveling list, but there will be many that pick up as well.

Also, I'm tired of playing at Wake and Maryland.

More than half of that is GA and NC, they can come to games in Clemson.

The ones in Florida and South Georgia can go to the FSU game every other year, we're only potentially hurting the ones in VA or farther north.

Not exactly

May 23, 2012, 11:53 AM

GA and NC can now go to games at:

GT, NCSU, UNC, Duke, Wake, VT, Clemson

within 5 or so hours.

I get that this change will be difficult but I'd rather see

May 23, 2012, 11:59 AM

the change and the challenges of something new over what we know. We know:

1. We dealing with a basketball focused league
2. We are seen as the red headed step child of the conference.
3. We are dealing with a conf leader who lacks vision and leadership.
4. We are dealing with a conf leader who is unwilling to give in on points that would help the football schools.

Considering our history in the GA Dome I welcome a new place to play for the title.

I would already be flying from Charleston to 7 ACC schools anyway. I don't see a massive difference. Not to mention if the ACC went to 16 it would probably be 2 more fly schools.

Im already planning a road trip to Texas! The only place I'll miss going too as an excuse to see a football game is Boston (assuming FSU goes with us). God knows we can't get far away enough from Raleigh.

I could easily substitute Pitt or Syracuse in there for K State and my feelings would be the same. I feel zero--zero affinity for either school. So what's the difference? None.

Screw Calford.

Eh, not going to Boston College away games is just as

May 23, 2012, 11:50 AM

easy as not going to Texas Tech away games.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agreed: Heck, I'll miss them as well.

May 23, 2012, 12:06 PM

But I won't miss being the Jud Fry of the ACC, spit on and force to live in the smokehouse.
